Summer Lockdown Writing Sketchbook
A downloadable sketchbook
One of my favorite things to buy from visual artists is their sketchbook collections. I see so many of the bits of process and processing that go into their work, the building blocks and interesting ideas behind the polished pieces. I like to see the patterns that come together.
This, I hope, is a version of that, for my writing. I wrote (nearly) every day starting in June 2020 and on and off for the rest of that summer. Though I struggled with it at the time, I'm glad to have these pieces of my thinking from that time period.
This 100 page collection includes play snippets, prose, a screenplay, queer rage, comic scripts, dreams, rants, dialogues, fanfic, a song, class rage, so many trans and nonbinary characters, and at least one game.
I'm still scared. I'm still angry. And I'm still writing.
Blanket content warning for sex, death, and food.
