How We Got Here

2017: Developing Ray OSS

We developed Ray, an open source project, at the UC Berkeley RISELab to solve ML and AI scaling challenges.

2019: Founding Anyscale

To make the toughest problems in distributed computing even easier for developers to solve, we built Anyscale: a fully-managed compute platform for Ray.

Today: Building the Future of AI

Fast forward to today, where developers at industry leaders like Uber, OpenAI, Shopify, and Amazon are building their next-generation ML platforms using Ray. And we’re going to keep building—because the future of computing is distributed.
