***The Town has been made aware of a mailing residents are receiving about not being registered to vote in Avon. These were not sent by the Town of Avon. They were sent from an organization out of Texas. If you have questions about your voter registration status, please call the Town Clerks Office 860-409-4310 or Registrar of Voters Office 860-409-4350.***

 

 

The Town Clerk's office operates in accordance with the Connecticut General Statutes, Town Charter and Code of Ordinances. We are responsible for safekeeping Town records that include Land Records, Maps and Surveys, Vital Records (birth, death, marriage), Election and Referendum results, Military Discharges, Town Ordinances, Town Council meeting minutes, and Liquor Licenses. In addition, our office issues applicable certificates, permits and licenses that include Birth, Death, Marriage, Name Change, Trade Name, Dog Licenses, Sporting (hunting, fishing, trapping) and Dial-A-Ride tickets.

The Town Clerk provides administrative support to the Town Manager and Town Council, maintains the minutes of all Town Council meetings and posts meeting schedules for all Boards and Commissions.
