Gaurav Chawla

Gaurav Chawla is a Vice President and Dell Fellow in the Dell Technologies ISG (Infrastructure Solutions Group) Chief Technology and Innovation Office. Gaurav has 30 years of experience in various areas in computer industry and has been with Dell since 2005. He is responsible for new technology explorations and strategy/architecture with specific focus Data Management, Computational Storage and Next Generation Data Center Infrastructure Design with DPUs/SmartNICs.
Prior to this he focused on 5G, Edge Computing / IoT, Blockchain, Storage Fabrics / NVMe-oF, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), enterprise storage/SDS, private/hybrid cloud, HPC storage, and worked with VMware on multiple strategic initiatives.
He has contributed to multiple industry consortiums and open-source projects including OpenFog Consortium, Linux Foundation OpenDaylight SDN Project, T11 FC/FCoE, IEEE DCB (Data Center Bridging) and SNIA CDMI standard.
He has B.S and M.S in Computer Engineering and holds 100+ granted and pending patents.
