Edit campaign groups

You can edit your campaign group settings to manage the corresponding campaigns at scale and change the budget and schedule.

Who can use this feature?

You need campaign manager access or higher on an ad account to edit campaign groups. 

After a campaign group is active, you can’t edit the campaign group objective or turn off Dynamic Group Budget.  

If you need to edit which campaigns are in a group, keep in mind campaigns can’t be moved from one campaign group to another. Instead, create a copy of the campaign in a different campaign group by duplicating it. 

Important to know

You can’t edit a Default Campaign Group. 

To edit campaign group settings:

  1. Sign in to Campaign Manager.

  2. If you need to switch accounts, click the account name in the upper-left corner of the page and select the correct account name from the dropdown.

  3. On the Campaign groups tab, move your cursor over the campaign group name and click Edit.

  4. Edit the campaign group name, schedule, or budget. 

    • If the start date has passed, you can’t change the start date.
    • You can’t change the total budget to an amount less than the amount already spent by the campaigns in the campaign group. 
    • You can’t change the campaign group objective or turn off Dynamic Group Budget once the campaign group is active.  
  5. Click Save.
