- [Instructor] An electronic schematic is the graphical representation of a circuit. It serves as your guide for building and debugging that circuit, so it's critical that you know how to read and interpret schematics. Schematics can be small and simple circuit diagrams like this one or large, complex designs that can span multiple pages. Regardless of their size, the way that you read them is the same. Electronic schematics use symbols to represent the components in a circuit. And those components are connected to each other with lines that represent electrical connections. It's important to understand that the relative location of components in an electronic schematic does not necessarily represent their physical location within a circuit.
