"Excited to share that my paper on "A Predictive Framework for Failure Detection and Reallocation in crowdsourcing platforms" has been published at the Sixteenth International Conference on Contemporary Computing(IC3), held from 8th-10th August 2024, organised by the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India. This research represents a significant milestone in our academic journey. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support and collaboration of my co-authors Sai Anushree Voleti and Harini Tatipamula as well as the invaluable guidance of our mentor, Dr. Lekshmi S Nair. Additionally, we are thrilled that our work has been selected to appear in the ACM, Association for Computing Machinery Showcase on Kudos! Grateful for the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in bringing this paper to life. #Research #Academic #Publication

Factiverse and University of Stavanger Researchers Vinay Setty and Ritvik Setty presented their new tool called QuestGen at this year's ACM, Association for Computing Machinery's CIKM Conference https://cikm2024.org/. This tool uses AI to automatically generate questions to help verify the truthfulness of claims. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 the 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸? QuestGen breaks down complex claims into simpler questions. Then, it searches the web for evidence to answer those questions and determine if the claim is true or false. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱? Researchers found that questions generated by QuestGen were sometimes even more effective at uncovering the truth than questions written by humans! The study also found that smaller, specialized AI models can be just as effective as larger, more general models for this task. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗚𝗲𝗻? 📱💡 How is mobile phone data shaping asylum decisions in Denmark? In a new paper published in the ACM, Association for Computing Machinery Journal on Responsible Computing, #AFAR researcher Thomas Gammeltoft-Hansen and his co-authors, explore how data from asylum seekers' mobile phones are now used to inform around 20% of asylum decisions in Denmark. The study investigates what is dubbed "data infrastructure literacy," highlighting the critical need for stakeholders, including NGOs and governmental authorities, to understand the complexities of these socio-technical systems. This literacy is vital for ensuring that asylum-seeking individuals are supported in navigating new data-driven procedures. 📊✍️ The research was co-funded by the Volkswagen Foundation within the framework of the AFAR Project. 🔗 Open-access paper available here: https://lnkd.in/dNZkQjEM
