An example is in the production of chips for the automotive industry, with firms such as NXP Semiconductors (Netherlands) and Infineon (Germany) specializing in this field.
In September 2024, approximately 29 thousand mobile apps were released through the Google Play Store. This figure indicates a notable decrease compared to the previous month. In the measured period, the highest number of app releases via Google Play Store was recorded in March 2019, with over 141 thousand apps released.
Online conversion rates of e-commerce sites were the highest in the beauty and health sector, at almost three percent in the second quarter of 2024. During the October 27 elections in Uruguay, citizens will also vote in two referendums. The Social Security referendum aims to set the retirement age at 60 and raise the minimum pension to the value of the minimum wage. In September, 51 percent of respondents said they planned to vote in favor of the referendum.
