Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at the PSR
As a diverse, forward-facing organisation which is continually working to drive improvements for everyone who uses payment systems, we’re looking for people who share our openness and determination.
In order to represent the people and organisations that we serve, we’re committed to building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our commitments are inclusive of but not limited to: race & ethnicity; LGBT+; disability; mental and physical health; and social mobility.
Our corporate responsibility, purpose and commitment are important parts of our identity, both as an employer and regulator. It relates to how we as a business, take into account the social, environmental and financial impacts of our decisions and actions so we contribute positively to the wider community and our environment.
We are experiencing unprecedented times across the world, so it is even more important that our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is absolutely clear. We want to encourage all of our people to feel confident that they can bring their whole selves to work everyday.
What our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion data tells us:
As of 31 March 2023:
- Representation across the PSR is 51% female
- The PSR Executive Team is 50% female
- 54% of our managers are female
- Our Extended Leadership team (combined PSR Executive and managers) is 54% female
- Our female representation on the board is at 33%
As a result, whilst we have met our Charter target, our goal is to maintain our focus on gender balance and to continue to develop our talent pipeline through to 2025 and beyond.
Race and Ethnicity:
Currently minority ethnic representation across our combined PSR Executive and ELT is at 12.8%, up from 8% last year, whilst minority ethnic representation across the organisation has increased from 22.8% to 23.1%. As a result, we have also met our minority ethnic target.
