Inactive administrators, July 2024

[edit]

The following administrators are inactive per Wikidata:Administrators (as of Special:Permalink/2070962429):

  • User:Pamputt (0 logged admin actions and 0 property creations in the last six months)

I'll be filing a removal request on meta momentarily. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 08:36, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Actually Lymantria already beat me to it - their request is at m:Special:Diff/27039057 --DannyS712 (talk) 08:37, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also confirmed no inactive interface admins or crats --DannyS712 (talk) 08:38, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See also User talk:Pamputt#Inactivity. --Lymantria (talk) 10:00, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I confirm that you can withdraw my admin rights. If I need them again, I'll reapply. Pamputt (talk) 10:16, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think it is a good habit to check around the 25th of each month if admins are about to loose adminship and inform them. --Lymantria (talk) 09:25, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it was once proposed and opposed, with the motivation that admins should be active enough to figure this out themselves. I think it should be at least discussed before being implemented. (I personally do not have an opinion either way). Ymblanter (talk) 19:24, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Inactive rights holders, August 2024

[edit]

For this month, there are

  1. User:Stang - per criteria 2: zero JS/CSS edits outside their user space in twelve months (actually it looks like the last use was Special:Diff/1842780726 in February 2023, I think the bot report was confused by non-interface-admin edits to the MediaWiki namespace)

--DannyS712 (talk) 00:10, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rights removed, Special:Redirect/logid/669035248. Thank you for your service --DannyS712 (talk) 00:13, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Definition of "user space

[edit]

I'd like to get the thoughts on the other bureaucrats on how we treat interface administrators that use those rights to edit the JS/CSS of other accounts that they control. As far as I can see, Multichill's most recent JS/CSS edit that wasn't to their own account's user space was Special:Diff/1954862749 to User:BotMultichillT/rkdimages collections.js. Does this count towards the 12 months? I.e. is "user space" operator-based or account-based? In my report above I treated this as qualifying, but maybe we shouldn't? --DannyS712 (talk) 00:15, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be very awkward if a bot owner can not modify the task of their bot. Ymblanter (talk) 20:24, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, I think you correctly treated it as qualifying. --Lymantria (talk) 15:35, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Good morning. Could someone close the request please? It was supposed to be ended on August 8. Thanks, -- Wolverène (talk) 08:23, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

✓ Done, apologies, all three of us seem to be simultaneously on holidays. Ymblanter (talk) 10:44, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone close the request please? It's been a long time since I requested this, this request has received consensus in the Arabic Wikipedia. Thanks -- Gerges (talk) 11:30, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

✓ Done --Lymantria (talk) 15:33, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
