Dear Teolemon,
I hope you are doing well,
I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I am working on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender model that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.
I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our model based on your previous edits.
Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published in a research venue.
The experiment should take no more than 15 minutes, and it will be held next week.
If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfA1wfdBfCRlcG3WhDyc-V8lzgPNx3fDFCNXkyn4CSwahXZ_A/viewform?usp=sf_link
Then, I will contact you with the link to start the study.
For more information about my project, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa
In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.
Thank you for considering taking part in this research.
Regards
Hello Teolemon, I just found your great Mix'n'match from the EU-Transparency register. There are some old Nonprofit names, but I couldn't find out the source date. Is it possible to update the list with the last official export from June 2021? Or is the EU-List not up to date?
Since I'm new to the automated wikidata possibilities, do you know a way to import data like headoffice, official website, official budget from external sources like the register?
Thank you!
Can you please fix the problems with the CPV in Mix’n’Match?
- According to the property constraints at Common Procurement Vocabulary (P5417), the CPV identifer should exclude the hyphen and check digit.
- Automatch is attempting to match French labels to EN labels in Wikidata.
Thanks!
I want to second this! Please delete the faulty catalog. I made https://mix-n-match.toolforge.org/?mode=catalog_details&catalog=4159
Coucou,
Les dates de naissance et de décès que vous avez entrées sur Madeleine Patin (Q3275709) ne correspondent pas à celles présentes sur fr et enwiki.
Hi, I am really interested in the project, I would like to collaborate with you ... I had a chance to think about a describing wines model. How about using properties (already existing or to be created) that follow the tasting sheet? (e.g. color, flavor, hectares of the production area, alcohol content, use, combination with food ...) In addition, to the description of the grape variety, I was thinking to one for the type of wine and one for the producer ... I have created some examples on wikidata and made some queries to study the results that could be obtained.
Moreover, by connecting the social pages we could also connect external content (images) and try to involve instagrammers that post photos of wines on social media to insert photos on Wikimedia Commons and then populate the wikidata and wikipedia elements.
List of examples: Cerasuolo di Vittoria, lambrusco (grape variety), Firriato (winery), Etna Bianco (wine).
Hey @LiaFla, have you heard of Open Food Facts ? We're creating a crowdsourced open database of all food and drink products in the world using a mobile app. We support wine, and we'd be keen on adding all the attributes that remain objective - Pierre
It's awesome! :) in your opinion, would it be useful to add in the properties section another table "for wine" using as example a specific wine? (to help who want add new elements) tnks - Lia
Hi, I see you're adding P1416 to university items. I had earlier used its superproperty P361 for that purpose and so some of these university items now contain duplicate information. For instance, Q1755318 now has both Part Of and Affiliation properties linking to Q10814056. Is there a discussion somewhere about the best way to link universities with their parent and child organizations?
I've found: Wikidata talk:WikiProject Education
As explained in Wikidata:Edit_groups/harvesttemplates/8da58c7314b2 I would rather use member of (P463)
Affiliation means something specific for academia in some parts of the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affiliated_school
I have seen infoboxes for Indian colleges being affiliated with a more prestigious university. So it has a specific meaning in the anglo-saxon world.
But in France, that is probably something that should be in an other field. We should indeed remove the French part.
I broke my arm yesterday, so the one finger answer is short. I will try to address that asa i get my second hand back.
pierre
I collected from enwiki to be clear, from the affiliation field.
