1540 Committee

Ambassador José Javier De La Gasca, Chair of the 1540 Committee, delivered a video message at Workshop on Promoting National Awareness of UNSCR 1540 (2004) in the Republic of Indonesia, which took place in Bali, Indonesia, 11-12 July 2024. The Workshop was held by the Government of Indonesia in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs.

The Security Council unanimously adopts resolution 2663 (2022) extending the mandate of the 1540 Committee and its Group of Experts for a period of 10 years until 30 November 2032.
