I am a game designer. That is all. Well, its not everything, but its the most important. Its the reason why im anything else as well. I still remember when I was a little boy drawing Spider-man, Batman, and Link and thinking "one day IM gonna make a game like this..." Video games have been a huge part of my life - they have helped distract me and figure out problems from normal everyday life such as domestic abuse, poverty, and having ADHD in the 90s - before the school systems were so accepting of kids being "different". Heck, Video Games have even almost seemed like a friend when I was lonely or depressed. This is why I have yearn to take Game Design into my life and help it do for others what it did for me. Everytime a piece of knowledge in Game Design has come my way, ive taken it in.
I have learned many skills since the start of my career. I have had 11 years of study in web development, 10 years of study with Unity. Various other amounts with other technologies like blender, paint.net, adobe suite, sound/audio creation blah blah blah.... but im a Game Designer. Its the only thing I will do a tutorial for an actually follow the ENTIRE tutorial. I find every bit interesting and I usually end up straying from the tutorial. It starts with a small variable change then leads to a customizable character, then an entirely different list of swappable features/character abilities, then I remember to hit play on the tutorial and I have to heavily modify EVERYTHING! But Im okay with this because....Im...a Game Designer. :)
I cant put out games that im not proud of. And if I release something early, I want to go back and edit it to make the project feel better. And by that, I literally mean make the PROJECT feel better - because I believe that creating a project is creating a world. Something where things can exist that never existed before and allowing them to thrive in a new curated world, made just for those little created characters we build for our games. I couldnt possibly release a project, know its flawed and not help them to improve in the world I started for them... We breathe life into the world of our games and theyre only as alive as we allow them to be.
Anyways...im always looking for a passionate partner - keyword is "passionate"...or...maybe dedicated?!? - and im always on the move to the next thing. For your convenience, Ive listed my certifications and qualifications. This is not meant to be a parade of knowledge to show you im skilled enough to work with you - its just meant to show the world how passionate I am about Game Design and all the things that lead to it.
Play my games understanding the passion I put into them. Have fun. :) Tell me if you didnt like something, but for the love of God, please put in a comment telling me the issue and what you think could improve it! I care about my games and am open to criticism. But I cannot fix something that I dont know is wrong. I want that game to be great.
If I remove a game, it probably doesnt meet my standards and I decided to try again. I dont abandon projects, I just move them to a long list of other projects that are waiting for me to multiply so I can finish them.
Everything I make is crafted with care - Help me to keep the game world alive and strong by giving feedback, please.
