The ACCU Conference is one of the longest running developer conferences in the world. Established by the ACCU organisation in 1997 it has always been open to the whole community and at the forefront of what's happening in the world of software development.
Originally focused on C and C++, that community has expanded to include other language ecosystems, and you should expect to be exposed to content on C#, D, F#, Go, Javascript, Haskell, Java, Kotlin, Lisp, Python, Ruby, Rust, Swift and more. There are always sessions on TDD, BDD, and how to do programming right.
The tagline for the ACCU is "Professionalism in Programming", which captures the whole spectrum of programming languages, tools, techniques and processes involved in advancing our craft.
The ACCU Conference is a conference by programmers for programmers about programming.
News: ACCU 2025
ACCU 2025 will run, at our usual venue in Bristol, from 1st-4th April 2025, with full-day workshops on the 31st March. We are also considering running post-conference workshops online - possible a week (or more) after the main conference.
Note that these dates for the main conference correspond to Tuesday to Friday - a shifting forward from the usual pattern.
We have already selected a great set of keynote speakers and will be announcing them shortly.
Call for Speakers
Our Call for Speakers is now open and we welcome everyone to consider submitting a proposal. It's great to hear from some familiar, reliable, names. But we also want new voices, new perspectives, and fresh topics!
The call will run until 2nd November (midnight GMT), so start getting your ideas together straight away.
Early Bird Tickets now available - with extra discounts
If you're an ACCU Conference regular you know that you can reliably expect a great experience. That's why we make Early Bird tickets available before the schedule is known, so our most loyal attendees can benefit from lower prices.
This year we're going even further! As one of the big problems we have as organisers is more and more people leaving things until the last minute, we want to motivate you to book early.
So we're offering even bigger discounts the earlier you book! Use the code DYNAMIC_DISCOUNT to get the current additional discount rate, which will gradually reduce during the Early Bird period.
Early Bird registration will close when the schedule is announced.
At its core the ACCU Conference is about developers who want to share their experience through presentations and interactive workshops with other developers. To reach as many as possible we plan, again, to run a hybrid conference in 2025. All sessions will be onsite at our venue in Bristol. but most will be live-streamed for remote attendees.
Location
The ACCU Conference is, once again, hosted at the Delta Hotels by Bristol Marriott, City Centre in Bristol, UK. Located in the city centre, close to shopping centres, main attractions and key transportation hubs the Bristol Marriott is renowned as one of the largest conference centres in South-West England.
Accommodation
Accommodation can be reserved at a special rate from the conference block on registration, or can be booked directly with the venue hotel or other hotels in the area.
