NYU (pronounced as 'new'), is a 3D first-person parkour game where you're in a multi-dimensional world, where only 3 dimensions of space is physically existent to you. There are 3D platforms scattered across  the 4th, 5th, and 6th dimensions. Your goal is to make your way out by parkouring through the platforms, while switching dimensions!

You have an ability to 'x-ray', which allows you to view all the platforms across every dimension. It lasts a second, and can be availed every 7 seconds.

As you progress, the forces begin to prevent you from progressing further! Friction keeps reducing each level you pass!

Fight agains the forces and go as far as possible!

CONTROLS:

WASD to move forward, left, backward, and right respectively.

Use your mouse to look around the scene.

'Shift' to switch dimensions between the 3 dimensions.

'Control' to turn on x-ray mode for a second.

The levels in the game are generated by using a random seed. The seed of the previous level you played will be mentioned in the main menu. If you find a cool seed, or got an highscore on one, go ahead and share it in the comments! We would love to play it!

This game was made in under a week for the Minimalist Game Jam #1, and thus utilizes only three colors throughout the entire game!

Really nice sounds and the idea was great feels like my game but 3D and Better LOL.

Although sometimes the airyness of your movement really frustrated me after falling when I felt like I should have stopped.

Tuturial would have been nice.

:D

Thanks a lot for your review! The friction reduces as you progress further into the game, preventing you from going ahead. This was done on purpose to add an extra challenge after one gets used to switching dimensions. But I do realize that it can quickly become annoying. I will surely consider making the movement less airy for better control! Tutorials are a very important thing, something I usually consider for the last minute. I'll remember to add one after the rating period to keep things fair! Again, thanks a lot for playing the game!
