Thanks a lot for your review! I apologise for not meeting your expectations as one might percieve when reading the description. I would love learn about some crazy tesseracts and hyper spheres coming in and going out of the 3D world, but it would've taken a lot longer, so I settled with simple switching rather than literal shape shifting transition.

I really regret now for not adding some camera shake or particles when landing. I love the idea of adding an indication to let the player know about the friction or the time left till they can xray again, I don't know why we didn't think of this during the jam! (Lesson learnt: take feedback from multiple people about a game!)

Thanks a lot for the suggestions! I really appreciate the them! Again, thanks a lot for playing the game!

So far I've tried:

  • Make a block by the snake eating itself over the blue star and place the traveler over it
  • Take the traveler to the white star by leaving it on that block/platform

I don't have any idea on what else to try. Any help would be great! Thanks for your concern!

Thanks a lot for your review! The friction reduces as you progress further into the game, preventing you from going ahead. This was done on purpose to add an extra challenge after one gets used to switching dimensions. But I do realize that it can quickly become annoying. I will surely consider making the movement less airy for better control! Tutorials are a very important thing, something I usually consider for the last minute. I'll remember to add one after the rating period to keep things fair! Again, thanks a lot for playing the game!

Thanks a lot for the review! The movement intentionally gets harder to control as your progress through levels (the friction reduces). This is done to add some extra dimension to the game so that once a player get's used to shifting, they have a challenge to make sure the don't fall off as they advance! I hope you found it fun! Again, thanks for considering to play the game!

This game was insanely fun to play! I was constantly on the move while the enemies hunted me down! Everytime I killed a bunch of enemies, the satisfaction was very rewarding. The soundtrack is amazing and just made the game a complete package. I can definitely see myself playing this game much often for hours if polished with art and maybe with multiplayer where you can help your friends survive by getting health/shield powerups. I would recommend maybe adding in seed dependent randomness, so that the enemies and powerups are generated via the seed. This way I could share a seed on which I got an hiscore with my friend to see how well they play on it! Simple mechanic, well executed, very fun game! Great job 'mate!

Really nice idea for a game! Good flow to the game, but I wish there were more levels and mechanics. Nevertheless, I had fun playing the game!

Brilliant innovative concept of the old snake game! I absolutely love the way you merged the tutorial of the game with the story! The music and sound effects fit the game very very well! I got stuck when the traveler level came, so I wasn't able to progress further. Due to my colorblindness, it was hard for me to distinguish between the colors of the gates. I would suggest you to have used a little different color for the background instead of plain black. Otherwise, great game! I had a lot of fun playing it!

Great idea for the game! I would've liked to see a little more polish as I was unsure of what had to be done. I was able to glitch into the walls, but I'm not sure whether that was intentional. I'm sure you would've been able to have done better if you had more time!

I would like to give you credit for the super creative idea! Sick soundtrack too! I would suggest you to add some description to the game explaining how the game works. Took me a while to understand, and I still think I'm not clear in it. Otherwise nice fun game!

Big ups to the coordinate controls! It's something I have never seen or played before, and made the game very fun for me to play! Great minimal soundtrack with SFX! If I were to add anything to the game, I would recommend adding in alternate endings, as it makes the game replayable. Other than that good job on this one!

I'm blown away by such amazing levels of polishing this game has! I'm surprised that all the art and audio, along with the game was made in just a week! You've stretched the limitations of the jam to levels I didn't think were possible! I love the attention to tiny details like the birds, parallax background, walking particles, landing impulse on the hat and a lot more I must've missed. I usually would like to see a soundtrack as I believe it completes the experience of a game, but looking at the game you could pull off in such a short amount of time, I'm not complaining! I got stuck when I had to jump a platform pretty high in the air, so I tried glitching out the hat, failing to find a single glitch I could complain about. Art, SFX, gameplay, ambience, everything was just on-point! Mind blowing job on this one!

Nice fun little game! I liked the sound track and the idea of collecting coins to get upgrades via the shop! I hope the coin system would've worked as I have noticed it hasn't worked for others. I love the ability to triple jump, but I would suggest changing the camera's movement a bit so that the player can view where the character is going to land. As per the jam's pov, I'm not sure whether the game uses only three colors, but either ways good job at making a fun game!

I love the way you've added multiple mechanics like switches, traps, and alternate endings! Very simple and intuitive design definitely gets  +1 in a minimalist game jam. I like the utilization of alternate endings to add a dimension of replay-ability! I do miss having a background sound track for this game, but if you've used that time for the level design, that's great! Great job!

Great game! I like how you utilized the old Mario trick to skip an entire level by hiding some hints! The level design is pretty good in my opinion and I love how you have a clear tutorial level at the start to explain how the game works. Maybe a tiny animation on the character's legs when it is moving would have been a great addition, but I think you made up for it with great levels! Good job!
