Greetings, reader. I'm Alex. I make games.
Specifically, I make games on my own, attempting to utilize as few assets as I can (none at all, if possible) so that I may truly say that each game I make is mine, full stop. Things I create, for better or worse, are done so utilizing my skills and my skills alone.
I don't do that sort of thing because I think it elevates me above other, more collaboratively-oriented creators. If anything, the quality of the projects I work on would only be elevated were I to hand some aspect of them over to someone else. I just.. I like it. flaws be damned, I can't help but cherish a game when it stands as the peak of my own skillset. Maybe that's a dumb mindset to have, especially in this ever-so-competitive and ruthless industry. But hey, art means nothing if it means nothing to it's creator, right? And if my efforts culminate in an ability to make complete and quality products all on my own, the rewards of such efforts will all go to me.
The idea makes me smile. Suppose I've always been a bit greedy.
I hope you gain some enjoyment from my work. Feel free to criticize it, however harshly, I'll keep it in mind for what I make next.
Pleasant living.
-Alex
