Kids mess

Kids can be a pain and cause a huge mess sometimes, but that’s what makes them, well, kids. They like to experiment with things, such as putting hairdryers in the sink or even washing Dad’s laptop in the shower. But research shows that messy children make better learners, and toddlers actually learn words for non-solid foods better when getting messy in a highchair. So it may be best to embrace your kids’ messes, at least while they’re still toddlers.

No prep, no mess, independent activities for kids (even preschoolers) to do instead of zoning out on television!

My daughter loves to finger paint, she is only about 5-6 months old in this picture and shorttly after this was shot she crawled away leaving a trail of paint all the way through the kitchen and down the hall. This photo was recently published in a book called Capture Lane County. A great idea from The Register Gaurd, hope they have another book this year! :)
