There seems to be an error in the new update. If you click on the detailed trigger warnings, there's a popup that says:
Error: cannot execute macro < <popup> >: this.args.slice(...).flatten is not a function.

I've only done Miranda's route so far (warnings be damned), but I'm really loving this. I do wonder if I'm missing out on anything by not knowing anything about RE Village, though. Also, "I have a death wish and a weakness for women" is the best description I've ever seen for how I play dating sims.
Okay, I was thinking that was the case since I couldn't find her anywhere, though the text is misleading. It wasn't the chapter hint though, it was some text on the page. After the meeting with Lazren and Avery, on the page where the Current Goal changes from "Meet & Greet Avery" to "Wait For... Something," part of the text says: "Maybe you could check in with Lazren — or catch Avery for a few more questions — after you did your morning rounds and had some time to organize your thoughts," which makes it sound like Lazren would be available to talk to.
It isn't really an option, though. It makes you look like a girl, but that doesn't really matter if your mind is still a "guy's mind," and everyone calls you a guy.
And the avatar isn't really my work. It's from the music video made by Studio Yotta for the Starbomb song, Smash!. All I did was find the gif, edit out Luigi, and shorten it so it was a perfect loop.
I honestly don't understand why the female protagonist is even an option. If the protagonist is always going to be referred to as a guy, even when they have feminine hair, earrings, and tits, why even bother including the option? No one picking a female protagonist is going to want to constantly be called a guy.
Tanks aren't usually supposed to be doing a lot of damage though, that's what DPS characters are for. And I can understand the jack of all trades thing, but Gwen's damage still seems a bit too low, to the point where I'm pretty sure if she wasn't in the party, the combat wouldn't play out any differently.
I can't really figure out how to progress. At night the big shades are too strong to beat, and during the day I can only get some minor stat increases. The first day Opal says to talk to people, but there's no one to talk to. Do I just need to buy a bunch of items and use them to get through the big shades?
Okay so most of the comments here are definitely the dev's alt accounts. Most of them were created right before making their comment, one has existed since January and this is their only comment, and one has made two comments, one on this game and one on the dev's other game. There is no game here, just four things to click on to get a one sentence description. I don't really know what the dev is trying to accomplish by making a fake game that costs nothing and isn't downloaded.
This is a minor thing, but I think it could be helpful for the walkthrough to mention the Jessica interactions as they become available during the main route (or at least the ones that alter later dialogue), instead of just mentioning them in the Side Quests section. Considering most of them come and go at times when you aren't going to be near Mor Town, they're very easy to miss.
I didn't say anything about playing the full game for free. All I pointed out is that the demo used to only be limited by being one update behind the paid version. Now, it's also limited by removing a whole lot of content, including a basic feature like saving. A feature that you originally said you were going to make better, until you apparently decided to not do that and just removed it instead. I understand that the "one update behind" model isn't very sustainable when you get close to full release, but there are better ways to limit a demo besides removing a bunch of content.
I fully understand not wanting the demo to be equal to the paid version, and I never said it should be. However, the way the demo is now, it's not going to be able to fulfill its purpose very well. Most people coming to this game will be here for the sex, and if most of that is removed and/or censored, they won't be able to properly form an opinion on said content. Also, with no saving, players are forced to try to play as much as they can in a single sitting, and they might not be able to make much progress, which will also prevent them from forming an accurate opinion.
The better way would be to do what most video game demos do: have a cutoff point where you can't play any further, but have all the content that's available in the playable part. For example, if a game has 10 chapters, the demo might let players play through the first 2 chapters in their entirety. This provides the best way for players to properly judge what the content of the game is like and decide if they want to see the rest or not.
The end of the afternoon stuff is a bit bugged. Both of the paths for getting the dry wood are fine, but all 4 paths for getting the wet wood break when Linda goes to Kate's room. Some of the dialogue plays, then the dialogue box disappears, but the portraits are still on screen. You can't move around, but you can open the menu. Because you never get back to normal gameplay, since once you talk to Chris it's just cutscenes, the scenes aren't getting unlocked in the Gallery. I imagine this bug will be gone once the night content is added, but for now it's making the Gallery incompletable.
"I just wonder if this is in the backlog or what’s taking focus instead"
It's likely neither. I'm pretty sure the devs of the website just don't care about the user experience. We still don't even have an actual way to exclude tags when browsing, and that feature has been requested multiple times for years. All we have now is a shitty band-aid solution of manually adding some stuff to the URL to exclude a single tag.
I really hope you guys are eventually able to do that, because I will become very interested in this game if you do. I don't have much of a problem playing SFW games as a male protag, but in NSFW games, where I have to see a naked male body that is meant to "belong" to me, it just hits the dysphoria a little too hard.
Netorare is when Persona A "steals" (or at least has sex with) the love interest of Person B, without the consent of B and from their perspective. The love interest generally doesn't consent either, because if they do, it's usually considered cheating instead of NTR, but they are sometimes used interchangeably. Netoru is the same thing, but from the perspective of Person A.
To pull examples from the description and images, netorare would be the image of Linda (a love interest of Kate) sucking Chris' dick, and netoru would be "stealing your brother's girlfriend."
So far, Gwen seems like she's really weak in combat. She and Syn are the same level, but Syn is doing twice as much damage. And this is with the best equipment I can have right now. Gwen has an Attack of 35, while Syn has an attack of 58. Gwen does have a much higher M. Attack than Syn, but it's not like she can use it.
Honestly, "unkept promises" is just par for the course on this site. I've never seen anything from anyone actually get finished. The only time I see a finished game on this site is when it's already in that state when it's first posted. I've just come to accept that when I download something from here, I'm downloading what is going to be its final state, or close to it, regardless of how "finished" it actually is.
The biggest issue I'm seeing right now in regards to this is Petey. Even if you say you're only interested in girls, your first crush is always male, and he is forced to be your first sexual experience with several of the "first real relationship" choices. And some of those don't even make sense. If I want my first real relationship to be Ava, why do I have to "keep up appearances" and "date" Petey?
There's also a lot of little things throughout the prologue implying an interest in guys no matter what your choices have been. It just seems like this game really doesn't want you to be a lesbian.
Edit: And now that "implication" has gone too far. Despite showing no interest in men, I apparently ended up "filled with jizz" and had to think about going back on birth control. If the game isn't going to let you be a lesbian, then don't make it an option at the beginning.
