Scum is a short narrative horror-ish* game made in 9 days for the Nokia 3310 Jam 5.

    * Not sure if it's quite horror but I don't know what else to call it. Close enough!

The Nokia 3310 jam is a jam for making games that use the restrictions of the Nokia 3310 phone: 84x48 pixel resolution, only 2 colors, only 1 audio channel, etc. You can read more about it on the jam page. And check out the other games from this jam here, there are lots of cool ones.

Play time: 10 minutes

(Because of the jam deadline I did not extensively playtest this. I'll probably do a pass after the jam rating period ends to fix bugs if any come up, so let me know!)

really cool nostalgic feeling game. very sad end and great story considering the games shorter length. awesome job!

This was really good! A really sinister atmosphere and the animations were so impressive.

for such a small game it's seriously impressive- so atmospheric. what most captivates me is how expressive the sprites are.

This is handsdown one of the best games I have played on this website. Everything about it felt perfect and well thought out. Thank you for producing it :3

Included Scum @ 3:41 as part of a video on the Nokia Jam #5.

....If the pond scum really can talk, and the father isn't just hallucinating. What could capture a child's fancy more than a magic lake? One that never seemed too concerned about the murders of innocent people. One that seemed almost eager to swallow more and more bodies....

I love it! Neat way to deal with the limited colors and create streetlights
