[edit]From Arabic رَابِعَة (rābiʕa), the feminine of رَبِيع (rabīʕ, “spring”) as well as رَابِع (rābiʕ, “fourth”), from أَرْبَعَة (ʔarbaʕa, “four”). Hence Rabia means both "spring" and "the fourth female".
