Harand (Persian: هرند)[a] is a city in the Central District of Harand County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4]

Language

Linguistic composition of the city consists solely of Persian dialects being spoken.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 6,613 in 1,856 households, when it was in the former Jolgeh District of Isfahan County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 7,108 people in 2,148 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 7,829 people in 2,478 households.[2]

In 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Harand County, and Harand was transferred to the new Central District as the county's capital.[4]
