Jake Gyllenhaal is an American actor and producer who has appeared in over 35 motion pictures (including some yet to be released), three television programs, one commercial, and four music videos. He has received various awards and nominations, including a British Academy Film Award for playing Jack Twist in Ang Lee's romance Brokeback Mountain (2005). He has received additional nominations for one Academy Award, two British Academy Film Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and three Tony Awards.

The Detroit Lions, an American football team in the National Football League (NFL), have taken part in every NFL draft since it began in 1936. The purpose of the draft is to provide a venue for NFL teams to secure the rights to eligible persons, typically college football players, to help form and maintain a roster. The Lions have selected hundreds of players in the draft since it began, with many going on to play for the team.

This is based on the nomination at Wikipedia:Featured and good topic candidates/Green Bay Packers draft history/archive1, the direct rival of the Detroit Lions. I've been working at this one for a while after searching for a featured or good topic to contribute to, and this will have been my first, if successful.
