File:Nokweed Devy Three Raja.jpeg

[edit]

Hello, I have less than a month of experience on Wikipedia so take it easy on me as I’m trying to understand. Why was this photo deleted when File:Vicharnnoi 1976 low qual.png, File:Pudpadnoi 1971.png, File:Saenklai Sit Kru Od with Lumpinee Stadium belt.jpg, and File:Namkabuan Nongkeepahuyuth 1993.jpg were already on Wikipedia to begin with? The image I sent would’ve been “first published outside the United States (and not published in the U.S. within 30 days)”, used “to provide visual identification of one or more specific individual”, “where the individual(s) concerned are deceased”, and “for whom there is no known representation under a 'free' license”? Doesn’t that qualify it for fair-use or even public domain? Thanks. Briantcraven (talk) 00:58, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Briantcraven: Hi, File:Nokweed Devy Three Raja.jpeg was deleted because the description page did not contain the copyright status of the image. The onus does not fall on anyone other than the uploader to provide that information. See the File copyright tags tags for further information. plicit 02:49, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My mistake, so can I reupload it with a tag? Briantcraven (talk) 16:03, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of SolarX page

[edit]

Hello, I'd like to appeal the decision to delete the SolarX page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/SolarX

This artist is in fact quite notable in the electronic music world. Some sources to substantiate this claim:

Track in "The 100 greatest IDM tracks" by Fact magazine: [1]https://www.factmag.com/2014/09/22/the-100-greatest-idm-tracks-100-51/

Hello, I wanted to add to this discussion. Please, undelete the article for:
The subject received significant coverage in 1995-2000 in the form of interviews and dedicated articles in the main music newspapers and magazines, such as NME[9], The Face[10], Mixmag[11], De:Bug and many others.
Not all of these old sources are available online, but are available in libraries and some can be bought (e.g. see interview in this issue [12]).
For these old sources, please note the condition WP:NEXIST.
The existence of more recent interviews and re-releases of 30 years old albums [13] is a sign of WP:NSUSTAINED.
These and other sources mentioned earlier are independent of the subject and are not WP:SPIP.
All this is evidence for WP:GNG.
This deletion is a clear case of WP:OZD and WP:INVALID. Please, observe also the WP rules WP:DOUBT (When in doubt, don't delete. See the editors expressing doubts during the discussion) and WP:RUSH (What's the rush?). GardenWise (talk) 15:18, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Techno-rulez and GardenWise: Sorry, but as the page was deleted as a result of a deletion discussion, I cannot unilaterally undelete the page. You are free to work on a draft and submit your work for review at Articles for creation. Additionally, sock or meatpuppetry will not help your case. plicit 02:49, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey question

[edit]

The page Nunakuzhi was nominated for deletion and you close it as "delete" Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nunakkuzhi but someone just copy and paste it and created it again. I don't know how to handle this so I'm just letting you know Warm Regards, Miminity (talk) (contribs) 11:26, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your time

[edit]

I know I am keeping you busy with my sandbox deletions everyday. It is the result of an, what I feel was, an unnecessary Block. I feel like Hal, the computer in 2001: A Space Odyssey, that losses all his past history. I am reducing my watchlist by the hundreds. Never really realized I had some many pages I was watching. Anyway, I thought I might just reach out to a new editor in my WikiWorld. Thanks for your efforts on my behalf. Buster Seven Talk (UTC) 11:41, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

not that this is particularly important, but do you have any idea what happened in the top two relistings in august 10? cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 18:13, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted this per WP:F8. However, a few minutes before that, I nominated the file for deletion on Commons due to lack of FOP in France, so I think that our copy of the file needs to be undeleted (and then re-deleted in 2030). --Stefan2 (talk) 14:13, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Stefan2:  Done, file restored. plicit 14:16, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of LSE IQ

[edit]

Hi there,

Unclear re: deletion. The article did have a drafted copy of LSE IQ alongside the talk page which was published. Are you able to explain further? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Comms.filmandaudio (talkcontribs) 14:51, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Comms.filmandaudio: Hi, you created Draft talk:LSE IQ, but Draft:LSE IQ has never existed. Where is the draft? plicit 01:02, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Explicit,
As It's been deleted, I can't check. I had earmarked it for review. If you're able to restore it today – I can check to see if the text is still there? Comms.filmandaudio (talk) 10:51, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
