Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Junurita, and welcome to Wikipedia! While efforts to improve Wikipedia are always welcome, unfortunately your contributions are not written in an English that is good enough to be useful. You appear to be more familiar with Vietnamese; did you know there is a Wikipedia in Vietnamese? You may prefer to contribute there instead. In any case, welcome to the project, and thank you for your efforts! If you need help, please feel free to notify me on my talk page. '''[[User:CanonNi]]''' (talkcontribs) 06:15, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Because you're not allowed to leave it sitting in a category that doesn't exist to have pages in it, and pages that are in redlinked categories have to be cleaned up to remove the redlinked categories. You know, like my edit summary said. Bearcat (talk) 13:24, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hypothetical compounds

[edit]

Some of the articles you are writing about chemical compounds that do not exist are not likely to be accepted. This is especially because the sources are so old. Many of the articles in Category:Hypothetical chemical compounds are not very good. One of the best examples is Mercury(IV) fluoride. If you want to write about the subject of chemistry, it is easier to write about things that exist. I am sure there are articles that can be improved with sources that are not in English you may have access to. Reconrabbit 12:32, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Actually ,all of article (except my user page) i translate from esperanto to english . I dont know its sources not trust. Thank you very much. Junurita (talk) 04:33, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Junurita

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Graeme Bartlett, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Iodine (iii) sulfate, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Graeme Bartlett}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

(Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

I have no opinion on this, I have added some sources to that article. If the problem is still not resolved, you can delete it. Thank you. Junurita (talk) 22:52, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The page Draft:Perfluoric acid has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done for the following reason:

G5 (User:ChanComThemPho) but also a non-viable topic, per multiple draft-declines and their comments

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, or you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Chemical articles

[edit]

Hi Junurita, I hope you're doing well. I noticed you're creating a lot of articles on chemicals, which I think you said you are translating from another Wikipedia. It seems like you're having some trouble working out if the sources being used on that other Wikipedia are suitable for the English Wikipedia. This is a really common problem so don't be discouraged by it. Rather than making new articles, have you thought about editing articles that already exist? Something that I have been working on, that I think might be really good English practice for you if you were interested, is this: Wikipedia:Lists of common misspellings/Grammar and miscellaneous

It shows you common mistakes and then you can search for them in articles and correct them. It also shows you what the correct English phrase should look like. Sometimes there's only one or two mistakes, and the others are just part of Wikipedia's mark-up, so you have to be careful, but it's a great way to learn what common mistakes are and what you should write instead.

This is only a suggestion, so of course you don't have to do it if you don't like the idea! I just thought I would offer something you might enjoy, since deciding whether sources are reliable or not is something even native English speakers have trouble with. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you happy editing! StartGrammarTime (talk) 10:08, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
