"The islands were connected with a network of five ferry services" -- this isn't wholly clear to me--were the islands connected for the first time by ferries in 1973, or do you mean that at that time the islands were already connected?
"the industry on Bømlo" -- was there only one industry on Bomlo? Or do you mean industries on Bomlo generally?
