Create the possibility to trigger alerts when dynamic values are met, i.e. a certain date value is older than a day (as of current date).

This is on our backlog and we intend to implement it.

RE: Dynamic thresholds for data activator

Will be great if we can set up 'alerts's that triggers in compare to another variable or column of the datasource, rather than a static number

RE: Dynamic thresholds for data activator

+1 on this. Specifically, I found myself scratching my head for why I could not dynamically fill in a value for the the event trigger. For example, suppose I want to alert when inventory is exceeding a low or high threshold. I want to build something like: trigger when threshold exits range: 1,500 - 3,000 -> this is fine, and you can build this with static values today. But actually, depending on the department or category of product the low / high threshold is different. So really, I want to be able to build something like this: Foreach %Category% trigger threshold when exits range: %LowThresholdVar% - %HighThresholdVar%Where the variables are replaced dynamically from a data point already existing in PowerBI or SQL database somewhere. I guess Power Query is what would work best here, but I also want to just select the column to grab my threshold values. PS: I was also really surprised that a simple table or matrix could not be used to trigger an alert from PowerBI as the "Visual is not supported". This again seems really strange and would have been one of the first visuals I thought would be supported. Example: watch column X and alert when Y happens.
