This was a really fun and diverse experience!
The design of this game was very well made, and the story felt complete. Introducing the game's main objective of having to reach the pink axolotl at the end of the first level made it clear that the game had a defined ending. The transition between the first and second levels was very smooth, with the shark eating you and then becoming the new enemy in the second level. The goals of each level were always obvious without needing any tutorials or hints. Each level followed a familiar pattern with spikes and bubble currents, but as the game progressed, new and unique challenges were added, which kept the game interesting.
The variety of different enemies and their unique properties was impressive. The small warning from the electric eels was subtle but noticeable enough that they never surprised with their attack. The third level was the coolest, in my opinion. The camera zooming out, the music changing, and finally revealing the big whale were all very dramatic. The final boss was fun and well-made; it wasn't too easy but not too difficult, which was good.
I did run into some bugs, but they didn't ruin the experience. The first one was that the small squids sometimes got stuck in the spikes and other enemies. The second was that a shark could push the player through the wall. Restarting the level fixed this, but it was possible to finish the level inside the walls by finding the end.
Overall, the game felt polished and it was really fun to play!

The atmosphere of the game was very well done! the music fits well with the art and the lighting, I would create more tiles to make the walls more interesting. The movement is nice and the different types of obstacles are giving a good variety that keeps the game fun. good job!

Morever the glowing effect was also sounded well
For some reason I always thought axolotls were herbivorous, nice to learn otherwise! I thought the eating mechanic was a little awkward to use in practice, like a lot of time spent chasing after the one fish who gets away kinda breaking the flow of the levels. With the limited stamina it was hard to know when I was allowed to have fun going fast or when I had to save it for later. Maybe make it so you can risk a bite out of a shark/octopus/etc. to get a little back if you want to take the risk?
The axolotl hurt sound made me sad so it made the final boss uncomfortable lol, but this was really a great game. Maybe could’ve used more aquatic ambience, both in the sense of the song and overall atmosphere, but you gotta prioritize what you gotta prioritize and I think you really nailed it overall :)
That's a lot of great feedback! I also felt that the eating system didn't do enough to enrichen the experience. Especially because you could sometimes get stuck without any sign.
I made the hurt sound so people would not want to get hurt, so I guess that part worked. I didn't think about the rampant axolotl though.

This is great. I like the variety in the levels with all the different enemy types you created and the level getting chased by the giant whale was awesome. I did not expect to be participating in an axloltl battle to the death today, but I'm glad I did. I like the pixel art a lot, and the lighting you used makes the game look great. Great job on this!

Very interesting mechanics and cool vibe, really gave me this "Adventurous" feeling! The rpg elements are quite good although i would've appreciated some kind of tutorial. Can't speak much, though, because this is something MY game suffers from.
What exactly did you find unclear?
For such a cute premise, the game is surprisingly unnerving lol. My heart started racing when the whale showed up. The eating mechanic is also really satisfying.
That was awesome! Really great job on all the scripted events and cutscenes. The whale is nicely timed and cool. The electric eel effect is very cool and also well telegraphed. The bubble pushback felt good. The octopus looks great and is a nice mechanic. The big squid is a jerk and I hate them (but also well done). And the final boss fight was exciting! I'm glad he got what was coming to him.
I did think that the 'Eat' button was kind of hard to use, because you usually were moving to the right, so it was hard to move to the right and also eat because those are usually the same finger. I also found it hard to know what my health was at. I think it was the color of my outline, but I couldn't really tell if it ever reset during a level, or how many more hits I could take, until I was already dead.

I didn't really think about the placement of E, though I guess that you also have the arrow keys to move. As for the health I wanted to implement a red vignette and a heartbeat sound effect when the player was hit, because of how the damage system worked (you had 2 health points that regenerated after 10 seconds). I only made it so the player turned red when on 1 hit point. Unfortunately time wasn't merciful...

Cute game! There were a wide range of levels to play and it was satisfying eating those fishies. Great job!
Solid entry~ Gotta eat em all. My only gripe at this point was that the music level was too high compared to my crunching of fish, but that's a minor issue.
It took me a while to optimize the volume, but I was already running out of time. I'm really glad you enjoyed the game, though!
