In what way does your game fit the theme?
The lights of the stars become stronger together. Space is unpredictable, however, a star shines brighter with one of its friends by its side. (Don't fact check this)
Also, anyone is free to interpret the game however they want.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all the code and music and had my friend amamakeart help me in the arts. Everything is made from scratch.

I was really confused at the beginning. I was just falling forever (I think I hit the bottom) as I didn’t realise I could move upwards
Looks really good
Sometimes I wasn’t able to move. It’s possible I was just misunderstanding the controls though
I just switched to the downloaded version and it seems to be a bit less buggy. It seems like I also have to click the orb every so often to be able to move
Once I understood how the game worked it was really fun! The mechanic involving finding orbs using sound is really cool
It's a little hard at first to know what to do, a little control list would have been really helpful, but once i knew what i was doing, it was pretty cool. At first it felt like I would have to randomly get lucky and find an orb until i realized there was a Marco Polo like mechanic which made it easier. The art style is really nice and the piano notes sound good.
First i got confused on what my mission is, then i understand.
I really liked it :D especially how well the sound works and the art.
At some point i sadly got lost and felt like i couldnt progress any further and find the next orb. :|
Hi, I can see how the game can get confusing. If you try the game again, you could get luckier at finding the other orbs to see the ending because they randomize position each replay. Thank you for playing!
So until I read the comments, I was not really sure what is going on. I read the comment where someone mentioned that you had to click on the player again to activate him and then I gave it another shot. I wish you provided some hints in the gameplay elements that made this easier to discover.
Loved the color scheme though.
If you have a chance please check out my game.
Yeah, a lot of people said it was confusing so I will probably add some more hints in the future. Thank you for the feedback!
More of an experience than a game for me. Maybe mainly because the mechanics of finding other stars are a bit unclear. Even when I finally managed to get all of them I still couldnt tell how it works for real :-) But nice overall atmosphere and concept.
Thank you for the feedback! I understand that can be confusing, but that was part of my intention to make the game seem like a learning experience. I will probably put some instructions in the future.
I must admit at first I was pretty lost and it took me some time to realise that I had to repeat to click on my dude to get him going again. At the same time though, that 'feature' is what eventually lead me to discover that the other stars echo back. Not sure if making the players having to click on their dude to move was a way to teach them about the echo, but that is how learned it, and was a great 'aha!' moment :)
Anyway, what an awesome mechanic! Lighting was well done and overall a nice relaxing game.
Thank you! That 100% was my intention when I was making the character movement. I wanted to give myself the challenge of showing (instead of telling) the player how to play so I tried forcing the player to keep pressing the star so it could signal others. Some people got too confused though, so I'm glad it got through to you. Thanks for playing!
Cute little game with a really atmospheric graphics style. I liked it :)
I absolutely love the concept of this game and it has been executed even better, my question is how did you do the light trail and make the star glow.
Thank you! I used the URP(Universal Render Pipeline) in unity which allow me to use 2d lights in my game, upped the intensity and other elements and made the background darker. For the trail, I used a line renderer component and messed around with the gradient setting. I'm sure tons of tutorials will show up when you search this stuff. I hope this helps you!
Awesome little game you have here, I couldn't find only 4 stars unfortunately :(. I really liked the ambiance and the sounds. The exploration always had you waiting to discover something new. If you have time, you can also check mine out: Newtraction is a puzzler where you manipulate gravity to bring your orbs together.
Thank you! The stars randomize position each time so maybe if you try again, you could get lucky and see the ending! I'll check out your game soon. Thanks for the feedback.
First off, I wanted to say the games graphics are gorgeous and the atmosphere in the game was truly special. One thing I did want to note was that I was a bit confused as to where to go and was lost at some points in the game. A tutorial would be a great addition if you were to update and expand on this game. Nevertheless, it is a fantastic entry and I had a blast playing in this small mini adventure.
Thank you for the feedback! I can understand how the game could be confusing and maybe I'll consider making a tutorial soon. :)
I really like this one. Reminds me of journey in a way. I think for me I'd want some kind of stress in the middle of the game to make it even more rewarding.
Took my a while to understand I need to click on the light quite often, but the process of understanding how to move was a part of my enjoyment in this game. That was interesting.
Well done!
Oh my gosh, that's a real big compliment for me! Journey is an amazing game, though I've only watched let's plays. I definitely wanted to try to make the player understand what to do without words and such, so I'm glad you enjoyed that. I see what you mean by putting more challenge in the middle. Thank you for the feedback.!
The game really draged me into it. I enjoyed the game and the sound were cool too! I did notice that when idle with already a few friends, they start to fall down. Almost a 5/5 from me :). Would also love more levels.
Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to make sure that the player was constantly pressing the orb to make a signal, so their movement gets weaker without that signal communication. Nevertheless, I can see how it could get troublesome. I'll take the 4/5!
I love the atmosphere you guys created! Particle are so beautiful.
The only thing I found hard to understand is the part when you pick up a star, is it animation or not? For several second after I pick a star I am not able to move. Anyway the idea is so original!
I'm not sure why you're not able to move after picking a star since I didn't put any code or animation for that. Maybe it's a browser thing that lags? Nevertheless, thanks for the feedback!
Beautiful game. It was nice to feel the chill vibe of the whole atmosphere after all the action games the jam has. The sounds are great!
Thank you very much for your feedback!
I like the graphics but i really don't know what i am supposed to do, a tutorial would be nice
Thanks! The way to start the game is to press on the orb. The rest of the instructions will be in the description.
Like another commenter said I didn't really understand what to do. Graphical effects were pretty nice tho, and the sound/music were good.
The instructions tell you to use the mouse, but the way to start the game would be to press the white orb. I hope you try it again. Thanks for the feedback!
It's a cool little game, but I didn't really understand what to do. I also lost control of the character very easily. Maybe some context or a how-to play would be nice? Well done on the animations!
It would be cool if you could check out my game too and give it a rating. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/925013
Hey. Sorry you couldn't figure out what to do. The instructions tell you to use the mouse, but the way to start the game would be to press on the white orb. Thanks for the feedback and I hope you try it again. I'll check out your game soon for sure.
Love the feel! Finished within 3 minutes.
