thought its going to be a scale my plane game and it caught me by surprise with the other ship! great idea! the ship was a little hard to move and resources quickly run out nearby
Almost everything about this game is perfect to me: The theming, the presentation, overall feel and the concept. I think just a few tweaks would help to make the game feel less tedious. The upgrades are clearly meant to help, but they barely offset the increased distance needed to travel as the game progresses, especially with the resources getting harder and harder to find.
Thank you for playing and giving us feedback. I agree with you. We thought about to just respawn the asteorids, but we liked the idea that the game gets progressively harder, even finding resources. Then we thought to implement a sort of scanner, but we run out of time so we didn't managed to implement that. Glad you liked it despite that.
Really cool art style and I loved the name! Fun to go back and forth between the ships 10/10!
I loved it! The gameplay is fast paced an always keeps me on my toes. The game loop is also extremely well balanced. There's always something I can upgrade when I get back to my ship, and the multitasking between fighting mini eyeballs, mining asteroids, and fighting the big eyeball is great fun.
Thank you for playing, and giving us feedback.
Solid game. The galaxy is safe once again!
The game loop is very addictive and fun. The upgrades were simple, but fairly priced, so that almost each time I could buy something and see the progress. It's great that there are two resources for that (I could imagine this game being more tedious that it has to be if there was only one tied to both shooting at The Big Bad and also buying upgrades).
Graphics were clean, though I think I'd like a hit animation (even those "standard" white/red blinks) when hitting asteroids, because them shrinking down weren't as satisfying given I'm literally shooting lasers at them :)
Here's a few additional nitpicks: distance indicator for mothership is great, but I could really use something similar for enemies as well (maybe the red indicator could change size depending on that, since I was more guarding the mothership than hunting for them - but hey, maybe that was the point and I'm just a dummy :P). The asteroids sprites are nice but them being "spiky" made me think that they will hurt the ship so I was extra careful around them. Then I realised that the gatherer ship cannot be really hurt and it made flying around much faster.
All in all - great game and kudos for the team for creating that in half of the given time!
(Also, I think that the music might've bugged, since it didn't loop throughout the game (and I really liked it!).
Thank you very much for playing and giving us detailed feedback. I very much agree with all of your points. When I was designing the asteroids, I didn't think about the shape and how that would affect the player's behavior. This is actually great feedback for me, thank you very much. Making the red indicator change size depending on the distance to an enemy is such a clever idea. I'm taking notes! We actually wanted to implement a sort of health bar for the collector ship (bumping asteroids around, loss of collected ressources, etc.), but didn't managed that to implement due to time constraints.
Regarding the music: yeah i have noticed that after the 48 hours mark, so we decided to not fix that.
Again thank you for taking your time playing our game and giving us insane feedback!
Loved the art style and the polishment level, SFXs are on point as well. Congrats folks!
Thank you for playing. I am glad you liked it.
My favorite moment actually came right at the beginning of the game. I went out from the big ship, looked around at the asteroids, and went “Oh . . . so, is this it?” And then I went back to the big ship and was suddenly faced with the enormity of the monster before me. Excellent work!
This is actually intentional. Maybe placing the collector ship somewhere in the asteorid field an not at the big ship would force this moment even more. Glad you moved away from the big ship, so you created that moment for yourself. Thank you very much vor playing!
Very polished game. I like the way you need to balance resource collecting and defending.
Thank you for playing. Glad you liked it.
It's always a great time when you get to attack a giant cosmic horror! I also liked the way the little ship controls - it's surprisingly nimble. I also loved the cool triple laser bursts from the wings - well done!
Thank you for playing our game. Glad you enjoyed it!
Verry Cool Game
Quite cool game. Rotating is a little bit troublesome though. Good job.
Thank you for playing and giving us feedback!
Very nice game. It's not too easy and not too hard. It is a little bit hard to aim with the small ship. One of the most polished games I've seen until now.
Thank you for playing. We had multiple different movement-styles for the small ship. This one felt the most realistic for how you would manouver in space. Could definitely be iterated more though.
Good game though I wish the movement of the player ship had more time in the oven, since steering and braking is pretty wonky
Thank you for playing. Appreciate the feedback!
Love the artstyle and presentation of the game! It feels very polished!
Thank you very much for playing our game.
Pretty nice. I clutched at the last second and killed it before my ship was destroyed. Could be better with a small tutorial. Impressively polished for 48 hours. The color palette is like our submission, which is something I fell in love with.
Thank you for your feedback. I agree with you a small tutorial would have been useful. But unfortunately we ran out of time and didn't want to exceed 48 hours. :)
Great overall gameplay loop and game idea! Love the slick vector artstyle you used, and I had a pretty good time playing!
Thank you very much! This is actually the first time me doing vector art for a game. Learned a lot during the process.
Really loved the main idea of game! (to play for the little ship and protecting the big one)
Thank you, glad you liked it.
Really cool concept!
Thank you!
Really fun game!
Thank you!
