I got up to 300 bubbles. I like how the background slowly makes you ascend. It's nice to look at a big bubble absorving every other bubble. The controls were pretty fun! I do wish there had been something more to it. Like, maybe bumping into the edges of the screen too many times could've made the bubbles pop, which would've added a bit more consequence to poor movement. I most definitely made my big bubble bump way too many times on corners (it made it sound odd haha). Cute little game, but not something to be played for too long I think. Thanks for sharing it <3

Great feedback, thanks for sharing!

I love how simple and relaxing this game is. I do see some of the issues with control as you have smaller and smaller bubbles to work with. That said I was never really frustrated though maybe that was in part because of the calm music. I really like this.

The biggest complaints I can give are around the "larger" bubbles you end up with (as I'm writing this I'm at over 1000 merged). Simply being a scaled up image of the smaller bubbles it does feel quite different both in how it controls and how it feels.

I also just "finished" with a score of 1285. Yay me.

And congratulations again on finishing a game for the jam.

Developer

Thanks so much! 1285 is a crazy final score, great job!

Very calming game and I really like that it has a simple concept! The music definitely ties everything together!

Some notes that would make the game even better:
It would be even more relaxing if it was easier to push the bubbles around since sometimes it can be frustrating to direct them (especially the small ones).

The bouncing sound on the edge of the screen can be annoying (when the bubbles are large and bounce many times on the walls).

The thickness of the bubble should be roughly the same, so that all bubbles feel floaty.

I have also noticed that at some point the large bubble that doesn't seem to grow when we merge small bubbles, though I think it does. It is more obvious when we merge a large bubble with a medium size one. That is when the camera zooms out. I would want a similar effect when we merge many small bubbles concurrently.

Some minor bugs: Sometimes the bubbles do not merge.

I would definitely be interested if you are going to expand on this idea and add more elements to it so that you can make a  calming, satisfying game :))

Oh wow I felt so relaxed while playing this! Brought me right back to the days when I'd be staring at the bubble screen saver on Windows Vista.

Developer

That's awesome, glad you enjoyed!

Super relaxing and sweet! I absolutely loved watching the background change as the bubble grew <3

Yay, glad you enjoyed it! :D

This would be so good as a time-killer, the game feels very relaxing. Although the movement physics can be a little annoying, it's very fun!

Developer

We were definitely shooting for time-killer vibes. Thanks for the feedback!

This was very soothing. Thought this would work like Suika, but it ended up being just relaxing. :) Moving the small bubbles can get tedious sometime, but overall the game is pretty pleasant to control.

Thanks for the feedback :)

I have no idea why I merged 682 of your little bubbles, but I did. Congrats on submitting your game!

This was surprisingly pleasant. The music didn't feel repetitive, the gentle atmosphere was great. And the control scheme was really novel. Just pushing things with the mouse isn't very common. The bubbles felt very light and floaty and just about right.

In the later stages, a large bubble feels a lot less bubble-like. It doesn't seem to float with the same weight as smaller bubbles. And the SFX for colliding with the edge of the screen could have been more bubble-like.

I don't really know what else to say. It's a very chill experience. It's not quite a game, but I quite liked my time with it. Well done! Keep making games!

Developer

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback 🩵 Glad you enjoyed the gamefeel, that was a major focus for us this jam to really nail this idea :) I definitely agree that things tended to feel a bit stranger as the bubble(s) got bigger.

Again, really appreciate your feedback :)

Very zen idle game with a relaxing atmosphere. I did have some bubble-collisions not work at times, but very nice game nontheless.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the bubble collision can be a bit weird at times, particularly as your main bubble(s) get much bigger than the smaller ones. Was very strange, it only happened when Unity built the game but not in the editor 🤷‍♀️

This was very zen and I enjoyed it a lot well done. I did occasionally have an issue with the very larg bubble not always recognsing smaller bubbles and so sometimes they overlappeed instead of merging but this wasn't frequent and didn't affect my enjoyment. Also t was a bit jarring if he bubble got caught on an edge of the scren then it would shake and the noise was very unpleaseent.
Will definitely play this again when I want to relax for a few minutes.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Those are 100% known bugs. Really wish we were able to fix this before the jam ended, but we unfortunately couldn't (instead the last hour or two was spent minimizing how disruptive they were). Glad you still appreciate and enjoy the vibe :)

As idle games go this one is pretty chill, I def like a challenge when I'm gonna play, but the calm was enough to keep me pushing bubbles together for a good while. Thanks for sharing :D

Came here to check out Phauxton's art.

Stayed for the chill vibes and cool music.

Neat game :)

Yay, so glad you enjoyed it! ❤️

Nice short game to relax. :)

It could use some gameplay element on a meta level why I would need to merge the bubbles. I stopped playing at 240 merges, because there simply wasn't any reason to keep playing.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the feedback. The intent was continuing to merge revealing more of the background and (eventually) you win after merging enough. Though I agree that could be much clearer, I've seen others get confused about that as well.

Merging bubbles makes me happy.

very very relaxing. It is not a complex game, however you made merging bubbles very satisfying so I just kept going. The game felt great to play. Not much in terms of feedback as it was just a pretty chill game. I think everything was very polished, perhaps if I had to nitpick maybe the mouse effect on bubbles could be a little bit stronger but honestly that may just come down to personal preference.

10/10 would bubble again.
