It was a bit tricky, but totally manageable with some strategizing. I love and hate that it takes 3 shots to kill most of them, but your gun can only hold 2 bullets at a time haha.
Sounds like I still have some secret rooms to find, too!
Ohh neat, the house got a facelift! Minor point, but the red wallpaper makes the gore harder to see 🤣
Not sure where this demo ends - I have a locked door downstairs and a "stuck" door upstairs. Are either of these areas accessible yet
The stairs up to the 2nd floor are a bit awkward too - if you're not pushing the directional button with your jump, you will go down a screen and fall through the step you were on. It's not a huge deal, though. It's not like there's anything in the room that's driving your Mental timer or anything.
In the outside area, I was able to jump over the door and wrap the screen, but in all fairness I was intentionally trying to find ways to break things there lol.
Otherwise, this was a lot of fun to get through, and does a great job at showing off the basic mechanics of the game. It's also tough as nails, and that game over screen was unexpectedly brutal lol.
I'm excited to follow the progress of this game as it moves along. Let me know if you can open either of those doors - I don't want to be missing out on stuff before the next release.
This is a really ambitious project, but will be super cool if you can pull it off! From what I gather, the demo is just the outdoor area and first room of the house - none of the doors inside are open-able?
Hope you don't mind some minor bug reports as I play through...
Interacting with the statue tells me it's an "old and dirty sofa"
You'll need to add a hard wall in here somewhere to prevent your character from wrapping if you don't jump up the stairs:
The boxes on either side of the couch report back as "green grass"
Fun concept! As others have mentioned, it would be nice if there was some sort of guide that showed you the "standard" hole size - even if it only just lasted for the first few rounds - just to get used to what the correct size is supposed to be. It's kinda easy enough to figure out if you keep an eye on the sus gauge, though.
No prob - I registered an account on there just to do it. Was a fun scavenger hunt of finding resources and info for the game, and then finding stuff about Aeon & Star Interactive so I could get your company in there too. Feel free to add to what I have, or let me know what you want added and I can throw it in. I think everything I have up there is copy/pasted from here and the main Aeon & Star website.
I hope you guys don't mind, I got you up on the IGDB (Internet Games Database) so people can officially add Steel Legion as their "Now Playing" game on Twitch
https://www.igdb.com/games/steel-legion
Here's the category on Twitch so you can see everybody who is live and has the game set: https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/steel-legion
Man, I think I totally misunderstood what you meant about Bundles. Somebody else asked me about them today - I just finished updating the script to handle bundles now. It's at the same gist link, should be version 4.2.
Sorry for giving Glaubits all the credit for the ask at first... you literally asked me to do this 100 days ago and I didn't realize what needed to be done.
I think what you tried should have worked. I'll see what I can find - it may be due to the way the bundle pages are set up and the way that my code is set to scrape.
I'm going in with the assumption that you want to scrape something like this: https://itch.io/b/520/bundle-for-racial-justice-and-equality
It's maybe the only bundle I've ever bought, and it's absolutely massive - so I hope that if I can get it working there, it will work anywhere lol.
There actually kind of is, the problem is that I don't think you can scrape the ratings you've given.
Here's the one for this game: https://b0tster.itch.io/nmkart/rate?source=game
It' s used a few times, but at the very start of the game's dialogue ("wtf"). That song isn't used anywhere in the game - I ended up over on The Cutting Room Floor and there are actually three unused tracks hidden in the game's data!
I grew up with Shadwogate and Deja Vu - they're both fantastic. I wish I could afford a copy of Uninvited, though. That game is also great.
