It was a bit tricky, but totally manageable with some strategizing.  I love and hate that it takes 3 shots to kill most of them, but your gun can only hold 2 bullets at a time haha.

Sounds like I still have some secret rooms to find, too!

Got the end!  That was sneaky haha.  I still need to figure out how to open the other box (aside from brute forcing it LOL).  The safe was easy to figure out.

Perfect - I'm all for the challenge, I just didn't want to waste my time trying to solve puzzles if they weren't implemented yet.  This is great!  I'll share it around to a few retro communities I'm in - I think there's a few people cooler than me who would enjoy it.

Ohh neat, the house got a facelift!  Minor point, but the red wallpaper makes the gore harder to see 🤣

Not sure where this demo ends - I have a locked door downstairs and a "stuck" door upstairs.  Are either of these areas accessible yet

The stairs up to the 2nd floor are a bit awkward too - if you're not pushing the directional button with your jump, you will go down a screen and fall through the step you were on.  It's not a huge deal, though.  It's not like there's anything in the room that's driving your Mental timer or anything.

In the outside area, I was able to jump over the door and wrap the screen, but in all fairness I was intentionally trying to find ways to break things there lol.

Otherwise, this was a lot of fun to get through, and does a great job at showing off the basic mechanics of the game.  It's also tough as nails, and that game over screen was unexpectedly brutal lol.

I'm excited to follow the progress of this game as it moves along.  Let me know if you can open either of those doors - I don't want to be missing out on stuff before the next release.

I'll try this out as soon as I can.  Hopefully sometime within the next few days (if not tomorrow)

I can't wait to check it out!  I'm playing this stuff on original hardware, too.  I have an Everdrive N8 Pro.  I haven't found anything it can't handle yet.

I'm curous,  too!

Been waiting for this one!  I've got the kickstarter saved so I can jump on it when it goes live.  GL!

Ohhhhh!  🤦‍♂️  I didn't realize that was a sidewalk.  Yup, that worked lol.  Thanks!

Whoa, this is really cool!  I can see it going places.  Right now the store mechanics are a bit confusing, and not having a warning before you sell stuff kinda ruined me lol.  I wasn't far in, though, so starting over won't be a big deal.

I'm assuming this is our house, but it won't let me in.  Not sure what I'm missing :\

This is a really ambitious project, but will be super cool if you can pull it off!  From what I gather, the demo is just the outdoor area and first room of the house - none of the doors inside are open-able?

Hope you don't mind some minor bug reports as I play through...

Interacting with the statue tells me it's an "old and dirty sofa"

You'll need to add a hard wall in here somewhere to prevent your character from wrapping if you don't jump up the stairs:

The boxes on either side of the couch report back as "green grass"

This is a really cool concept!  Any ETA on when the full game will be out?  Will it be listed on Steam?

That version was scuffed, sorry... it totally missed like three important fields.  I just updated it and ran it through more tests.  It should be good now I hope.

Try it now.  I realized I also left some debug code uncommented... whoops.  I tested it out a bit more thoroughly and it seems to be working better now.

I can't remember how I solved it now, sorry :\

Aw man, I thought I had it working...  sorry for the let-down.  I'llt take another swing at it hopefully tomorrow.

This demo is super rad.  There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to do in it, but what is there is fantastic.  I can't wait for more to come!

Not sure if the map that came with the game is a rough approximation if the game map, if I just really suck with maps, or both 😂

No prob!  Let me know how it goes, and if there's anything else I need to add (or overlooked)

Fun concept!  As others have mentioned, it would be nice if there was some sort of guide that showed you the "standard" hole size - even if it only just lasted for the first few rounds - just to get used to what the correct size is supposed to be.  It's kinda easy enough to figure out if you keep an eye on the sus gauge, though.

No prob - I registered an account on there just to do it.  Was a fun scavenger hunt of finding resources and info for the game, and then finding stuff about Aeon & Star Interactive so I could get your company in there too.  Feel free to add to what I have, or let me know what you want added and I can throw it in.  I think everything I have up there is copy/pasted from here and the main Aeon & Star website.

I hope you guys don't mind, I got you up on the IGDB (Internet Games Database) so people can officially add Steel Legion as their "Now Playing" game on Twitch

https://www.igdb.com/games/steel-legion

Here's the category on Twitch so you can see everybody who is live and has the game set: https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/steel-legion

So many secret parts!  I expected this one to just be a quick and fun puzzle game...  What I got were some very challenging puzzles and a false sense of light at the end of the tunnel 🤣

Even the bonus content keeps a train theme with it branching in different directions 😂

No prob - breaking stuff is what I do 🤣  Especially fun to see what happens when the game tries to handle something I've broken.

Can confirm it's fixed now as well :)

If you happen to l+r click when placing an L piece it has... interesting... results lol.  Note that if you complete a track with one of these pieces in your path, it will crash your game.  Just refresh and you'll be good to continue

Oh snap - you even have error checking in there to make sure that all track pieces that can be used are actualaly used properly.  I thought I had one over on you here 😂

A piece of usable track sitting outside of the connected tracks

Man, I think I totally misunderstood what you meant about Bundles.  Somebody else asked me about them today - I just finished updating the script to handle bundles now.  It's at the same gist link, should be version 4.2.

Sorry for giving Glaubits all the credit for the ask at first... you literally asked me to do this 100 days ago and I didn't realize what needed to be done.

Had to take a break for a while to deal with real life for a bit lol.  The script should be good now, though!  Same link as before.  Let me know how it goes!

Almost done.  Found a few things to improve along the way, just working out some kinks

[EDIT] Turns out the bundle lists are not the same as the typical game lists.  Need to find a way to identify these.

Yeah, so the Bundles are coded totally different from the grid lists.  It's absolutely scrapable, though.  I'm working on it now.

I think what you tried should have worked.  I'll see what I can find - it may be due to the way the bundle pages are set up and the way that my code is set to scrape.

I'm going in with the assumption that you want to scrape something like this: https://itch.io/b/520/bundle-for-racial-justice-and-equality

It's maybe the only bundle I've ever bought, and it's absolutely massive - so I hope that if I can get it working there, it will work anywhere lol.

I'll have to play through it again.  I remember it having some really cool concepts, though.  I'm pretty sure I reached the lights-out facility

There actually kind of is, the problem is that I don't think you can scrape the ratings you've given.

Here's the one for this game: https://b0tster.itch.io/nmkart/rate?source=game

So excited for you guys!  Congrats!

This was really fun!  It was frustrating AF for all the right reasons.  The challenge is brutal at times, but the controls and collision detection are on point.

I have no idea how I beat the game without using it lol.  I'll have to give it another playthrough and see if I can replicate it

It' s used a few times, but at the very start of the game's dialogue ("wtf").  That song isn't used anywhere in the game - I ended up over on The Cutting Room Floor and there are actually three unused tracks hidden in the game's data!

I grew up with Shadwogate and Deja Vu - they're both fantastic.  I wish I could afford a copy of Uninvited, though.  That game is also great.
