Wow. This is a brilliant interpretation of the theme, love that the guns make you both heavier and larger but also more powerful! The world is also really intuitively designed to prevent players from returning to places they've been to before by altering the size/height of the passageways. Ending was hilarious too, great work!
Cute game! I love the concept, and the controls were intuitive once I figured out what right clicking the chickens does.
A couple notes:
-The sound effects are nice but a little repetitive, especially in the menu screen where they are going off constantly. I second the chicken madness background music idea :)
-It would be nice if score upgrades glowed when you can purchase them, and also their symbols could be a bit more clear as to what they do (perhaps a clock with a down arrow for chicken speed and an up arrow next to the golden chicken for the increased golden chicken frequency).
-At a certain point (about 8 eggs in my games) purchasing more eggs does more harm than good by blocking the screen from chicken hunting, and I was able to subsist off of right clicking all the chickens until about 200 (nice work on the gradual difficulty increase!). Maybe if the chickens flew in front of the eggs there would be more incentive to purchase more eggs, although that might make it too easy.
Keep up the good work!
If you replace all the individual parts of a spaceship one by one, at what point does it stop being the original spaceship? :)
Great game, loved the controls and intuitive UI for the gas and aegis. I don't really get the point of zooming out but was glad it was included.
The first three planets were pretty easy, but the difficulty spiked at the 4th planet when I was swarmed by 3 or 4 small ships and 2 big ones. Perhaps the 3rd planet could introduce the player to big ships by having one or so ship of each defending it.
My most memorable moment was when I thought the sun was the next planet I had to explore, and then I realized that the sun is most likely not a habitable planet :D
THIS GAME
Physics were amazing, weight distribution as a mechanic was so creative, and I loved the art! Really fun platforming and creative swinging with the treasure, and thank goodness for checkpoints :)
I did however get softlocked when the mushroom pushed me inside a wall but with ultimate SKILL and DETERMINATION I managed to wall jump (???) while carrying the chest MULTIPLE STORIES by spamming left, right, and jump until the chest touched spikes, which put me back in the level. Surprise challenge, but I was DOWN
5 stars all around.
