Thank you! The inspiration came that time when I went to the bathroom with my phone while trying to think of an idea for the theme 😁

The art is very impressive, it's all so fluid it's almost hypnotic to look at! I love the music, it sets the atmosphere perfectly. Great job!

This is the closest I managed :

Thanks for your kind words! Having spent a lot time on the assets and sound design, I barely had enough time to add an intro screen and had to settle for a simple fade to black for the end of the game. I could have gone over 3 hours but I try to strictly stay under that limit. You're right though, some lore at the end would have been nice!

Thanks! This is actually my voice, I made every asset in the game myself, except for the fart noises 🤡

That was a lot of fun! I love the telegraphed attacks and how "fluid" the whole experience. Great bathroom boss!

I kinda like the 90's powerpoint aesthetics! For something hastily thrown together, it's actually a fun minigame with a lot happening at once, which I love. Nice work!

Interesting take on the fishing minigame! I love the mechanics, it's way more engaging than pressing a button to cast and then to reel. Great job on the sound effects, too!

I'm an excellent bathroom boss! I really enjoy this kind of laid back gaming experience. Love the humor, presentation, and sound effects. It's all very cohesive and fits the theme perfectly, great work!

Oops! Between all the stuff I had to do this weekend and the limited time I had, I actually forgot to implement a win screen 😅

But thanks for your kind words, I'm glad I managed to convey the game's atmosphere to you!

Brilliant, now that's what I call playing as the enemy! I had a ton of fun ruining all these people perfectly fine lunches 😁 Great job on the theme, it made me smile and I had a great time!

Great idea, I really like what you did for the visuals and sound effects! It really felt like being a puny slime fighting for dear life against unprovoked heroes :)

Nice little puzzle game! I spent some time trying to visually detect which king is the original before understanding you don't know which one is the real one by design. Solving the puzzles was fun, great job in such a short time!

I played this for longer that I would like to admit and accumulated over 33 million souls before conquering the world. I like that it can be completed very quickly but I had fun taking my time and raising some of these numbers. There's a lot of nice polish here and there, the buttons felt satisfying to click and I enjoyed the humor in the descriptions. Great job!

Nice! I actually had the same idea as you but with pacman, but I dropped it because pathfinding on the engine I use is a bit iffy.  I liked how you can manipulate the ai by changing targets to slowly corner the poor guy and finish the job 3 on 1. That was fun, great job!

Congrats for staying under the 3hrs limit! The gameplay really kept me on my toes since you really have to plan exactly how to move when the clones start to  accumulate. Great work!

I liked the concept too, it feels like it would be a great tool to learn how to type!

This was very enjoyable! It reminds me of PETSCII topdown games like Ultima. I enjoyed exploring the maps a lot (and going out of bounds too). Great job!

Imagination really is the best graphics engine! Your game is odd, just like smiling after sacrificing your head, but I mean that in the best sense.  Great atmosphere, I had fun optimizing my own disassembly!

Thank you, glad you liked it 😁 I came up with the flappy bird-style controls to make it harder to fly when you hoard too much money, but the hitboxes are a bit too big, so some hits do feel a bit unfair!

Wow, this is impressive for the timeframe! I'm really into card games, so I had a great time with your game. This is a perfect idea for the theme and it's all very cohesive, you really nailed the atmosphere! I made $6000 before realizing I could buy and sell life.  Great job!

Excellent spin on the dino game, I really enjoy one button games and I had a blast with your game, too! The distortion effect is really cool, and it makes distances progressively harder to estimate, which I really enjoyed coupled with the acceleration. My only minor nitpick is that I couldn't see my score at the end, but it must have been around 1600.

Great job!

Such a neat idea! It's very fast paced, simple and addictive, and I absolutely love the player's sprite and sound effect.

I sometimes "hid" on the sides to try and catch only the slower coins, you could probably remove those safe zones to make it even more chaotic. I had a lot of fun, and tried again and again, great job!

Congrats on your high score, you beat me (119 coins)! 😁 The safes always got me too, I think I'll trim their hitbox a little bit at the rear to make evasion slightly easier.  I'm very glad you had fun, thanks for playing!

This is beyond impressive, I'm amazed that you two can create such a little gem of level design in just a handful of hours! I really love the minimalistic music, it never got on my nerve or felt repetitive even when I scratched my head for a few minutes. Also, the decaying background is a brillant idea to both explain the controls and intuitively show  what abilities are still available. Great work!

It took me a minute to figure it out, but it’s a cool concept. The icons are a bit small and there are a lot to watch as the game progresses, but I like how you can quickly glance at them and estimate which button to press. If you add acceleration over time, I think you could reset the combinations each time it accelerates, and once a certain number of combinations has been added, it accelerates and resets the combinations again. I think that would make for a good difficulty curve. Good job!

Thanks! That's actually the first thing I'm adding, along with a difficulty overhaul. Good luck to you too! 😎

Congrats on your victories! I'm glad you had a good time and decided to try both modes! 🤓 The next release will be way harder, but for the jam, I didn't want the game to be too frustrating. Thanks for playing and for your kind words!

Wow there's a lot to love here! It's a simple concept but perfectly executed. I love the varying speeds and trajectories of the enemies, the offensive and defensive skills to get rid of them, and above all, it's incredibly juicy and addictive. Great job!

Thanks, I'm glad you had fun! It voluntarily easy for a jam game, but I'll try to make it more strategic and punitive as I keep working on it.

(1 edit)

I played for a little bit out of curiosity because I love card games, and I think this has tremendous potential. It looks very polished, the visuals and sound design are cohesive and pretty. I don't know if you are still working on this, but I think you should and that you should submit it to feedback focused game jams to get constructive criticism. Great game!

That's a very neat idea for the theme, I think you managed to get it mostly done in 48 hours! Some musics and basic collisions for the walls as well as an increasing score can do wonders if you want to spend a little more time on this. It's simple and effective, I had fun figuring it out and playing, good job!

Thanks a lot for your detailed feedback and your kind words! I toned the difficulty down a lot for the jam so it wouldn't be too frustrating to restart from room 1, but the next version will be much harder 🙂 I agree with all your comments, I had to cut stuff since I only had ~24h to work on this, but more content is on the way.  Thanks for playing!

Cool game! I lost a lost before realizing you can't double jump when changing directions... and a lot after that 😅  A bit too hard for me, but it ties in nicely with the theme. Good job!

Thanks a lot, I'm really happy that you enjoyed my game! That was the vibe I was going for. Art is not my forte, so it's nice to hear that you enjoyed the robot design 🙂

Very cool G&W graphics! I stopped at 200 points. I particularly enjoyed the controls, left shift are right shift are way more comfortable to use than left and right arrow. I really enjoyed the random GDevelop bonuses, I hope you have more on the way. Great job!

Thank you so much for your kind words, I'm happy that you enjoyed it so much! I wanted to make a decision-based game with some tension, but I made it easier for the jam. I'm planning to add content and crank the difficulty up a notch. Thanks for playing! 😁

Wow, your game is AMAZING too! I enjoyed every "second" of it 😁 and would have played for much longer! So I'll be checking out the full version when it's out. It was maybe a tiny bit too dark (the symbol on the left gave me some trouble), but it's part of the experience.

Thanks! I grew up with those, so it's definitely an inspiration 🤓
