Thanks a lot for the great feedback!

I’ll definitely take your suggestions into consideration and make them happen. I do agree that the last part of the last level can be difficult and confusing, I’ll try to guide the player a bit more!

The left part on the last level is the way to go if you want to achieve a 0 star run so I’ll have to see how to do changes there…

Also I tried to develop with a controller, but my own didn’t work, so I just stuck with mouse and keyboard. Since I’m working with Unity it shouldn’t be that big of a deal to add the controller tho.
Anyway thanks again for playing and feedbacking!

Thank you very much, fellow Voyager! I Hope you have some happy holidays :)

I found the mechanic of the game quite interesting in a good way. I was kinda vibing to the music and collecting my vegetable, but I do feel like the phase jump mechanic is somewhat my biggest gripe in this game. It feels like I can barely ever jump the height that I want to. Other than that this felt great!

Good job, most of the presentation (outside of the buttons) is great and the mechanic is interesting. I think if the objects had different things they could do or if the player could customize the room more this would even be a tad better!

This is a cool and original game! I guess Candice will find love know 👀

The assets look absolutely amazing. The animation feel fluid and alive! Sound would be appreciated

I loved the presentation of this game! The units are cute and Big Moe has a lot to say! I ran into a bug in my first playthrough, where I couldn't play anymore and it was only Moes turn. It might have something to do with the fact that I tapped on his unit at some point and was able to move it.
Great game, I could see this being really fun with acquiring new cards and building different decks!

sorry for the late reply, I downloaded the zip file, opened the exe for the emulator and added the games file to it. Took me a while to understand that the game file can’t be opened by itself without using the emulator first

Aww thanks a lot for the kind words!

pretty fun puzzle game, some of the puzzles took me longer than I am proud to admit. The level design and content is great, but I felt like I had to fight the physics / mechanics sometimes. Other than this this was great!

Also these rural rat peasants don't have nothing on my "rocketman" rat king

Wow, this is my favorite entry full stop. If this had a narative this would end up somewhere on devolver digital.

Puzzle rythm game isn't something I thought I was gonna play this year, let a lone enjoy it!
My only complaint is the tiles are not very interesting to look at and the background as also not that exciting.
All in all a blast (although sticko mode was pretty hard to me)

Really fun game, I feel like there is not much to add. I felt like the modes could be slightly more interesting, but I mean you had a pretty big scope, the game is mainly bug free and you are a solo dev. Well done!

Thanks for playing, I am happy you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

I’ll have to revise the aiming thing because that is the biggest gripe people had with the game. I had some issues with using a crosshairs (with my trackpad, mind you), so I decided to make it more comfortable for myself. It seems that was was a pretty unpopular idea, which is why I’ll add a „crosshair-mode“ as the default and my wonky aiming mode as an option for the deranged ;)

This game feels really fresh and original! I love the retro music and the filtered pictures you guys made!
If I had one complaint, it's that the game felt pretty long even tho it was only three days; maybe that has to do with how slow the evaluation of your work takes.
Still, this is a very fun, creative and polished game!

Great game. It feels really polished and you guys definitely know what you were doing!
I only ever banned goblin modes and maybe a few weapons. I also only walked backwards and shot at the goblins; I think having something to walk towards like health/xp pick-ups would be a great way to guide the player where to go and make them look forwards from time to time. A "berserk mode" or something where you become invincible or get a big Aoe melee attack would also be a great way to make the player walk towards, instead of away of the goblins.
Presentation is top notch, originality is top notch, it is pretty fun and you definitely have mode in your game: Congrats!

Great game. Ended my playthrough at the volcano world, but I have enjoyed the pretty difficult platforming challenges you provided. I really enjoyed the audio and the glitchy effects, which made me wish there was a slight filter on the game to make it visually more distinct, when you are currently not dying or beating the level.
I can't wait for the full release with an easier difficulty, so that I might witness the ending of the game!

I was thinking the same thing, hahaha

This gives me strong Cartoon Network flash game vibes and I am loving this nostalgic trip.
Unfortunately my Laptop did not vibe with it that much: I had pretty low frame rate, the lawn mower was pretty slow and each second on the timer was about 6 seconds in real life! I could not tell you why exactly - all the stats on the Task Manager seemed fine - but it did have something to do with the grass is my guess, because on the grading screen and the main menu I have 0 issues. One other thing is thing is that I would've really liked if the player sprite had some visual mood changes (for example cheer when you dash or sad when you run over animals).
From the gif that you provided, the feedback you've gotten and the game play that I have enjoyed in 1/6th speed I can tell that this is a fun and frantic game. I would've enjoyed if you found some way to incorporate "Mode". Still this is a very enjoyable and complete game, congrats :)

Thanks a lot for the advice, I'll try to put it into some good use!

This feels like a game that I would play on my DS (that's a good thing)! I like that each power up has it's strengths and by just looking at the level you can already kinda figure out what you're gonna have to do. The Craft mode is very well implemented, although I have never used the green bounce pad. The sprite work is nice and the origami animations are great! I think I only have three (3) minor things I want to say:
One (1), I don't know how much sense id makes to have a parralax effect, when the camera is still.
Two (2) I think having a bit more visual feedback on disabled blocks would be helpful (making them grayscale or turn completely black or just turn the GameObject off).
And lastly Three (3) I don't know how I feel about the scrolls still being on your possession after you die. The levels are built in a way that you can always collect all and finish the levels, but I found myself using all my resources to get one after the other and then just heading straight for the end. If that is intended. That can of course be intended, in which case you can ignore point number Three (three).
Thank you for making this fun and creative game and for coming to my TED talk.

It looks like you overdid your features a bit here hehehe. The game is pretty straight forward once you get past the tutorial and somewhat fun, although I found myself only using one unit and one mode...
I think you were a bit overambitious with the variety of the modes, that you didn't play test them enough. Maybe more specialized units and levels to showcase the different stats/abilities would've been the way in hindsight.
On the flip side I did enjoy the Presentation quite a bit. The sound effects and music fit your vibe perfectly and feels like a polished launch ready game! You were trying out something cool and original, but unfortunately your game design was a bit lacking.
All in all still a very enjoyable experience!

Hey, I'm sorry: Your game looks like it's very cute and interesting, however my laptop is literally using 100% of it's memory and about 50% of the time I get a fatal error when I try to open a new game...
I won't rate your game, since I haven't really played it, but please consider tuning some memory down be having lower default graphic settings and unloading some of the terrain while you are not looking at it!
I see that you are ambitious and definitely keep that up (but please consider the gamers without hardware from the last 3 years)

That's, great then I'll know what I'll put on my fun game soundtrack playlist ;).
Btw how did you start doing soundtracks? I've been trying to do some myself on Grageband or Ableton but I can never get them to sound fresh or interesting...
Do you have any advice for me?

Cute and short game. This Key Mouse here is definitely cuter and more skilled than the one in Balan Wonderworld hahaha

This game is great!
The game play is fun and engaging and the story is pretty solid. all in all this already feels very polished!
What I enjoy the most are the Vfx (the old tv visuals).
I like the whole dmg-speed-defence thing going on. I did find myself not using red that much (because my aim is bad + I found it easier to kill greens by holding up my shield and shooting at them).
Although the last two leveles were really challenging I had a good time playing this, thank you :)

Thanks for your kind feedback, I am glad you rose to the challenge and beat it!
I will definitely add different ways of aiming when I continue working on this since that is the main feedback that I got from most hahaha

Also a way to get back to the main menu or exit the game/see the credits after you beat the game would be great!

This entry is pretty crazy; either you guys put a lot of content from other projects in here or you didn't sleep at all.
What I like the most has to be the music. The energy and soundbites in the Music are just really fun. The character designs and their animations are also just great. The environment is vibrant and varied. The catch mini games creative. This is just a great experience all around!

I did end up having memory issues at some point, which made catching the second dipshit incredibly hard (Maybe unload terrain that is not visible). Also when you stomp with solidude, there was barely any feedback for if something is happening (which made me question if I should continue stomping or not).

I would love to see the fully realized ambitious version of this game someday :)

I think this this is a fun racing game with a good and varied cast of characters, pretty good music (I can tell that Bryce put a lot of effort into it) and nice and tight controls. In the case that you want to expand from this game, here are a few things that I noticed (please mind that I am playing on a keyboard):
The drifting didn't quite work sometimes. It would block the directional input sometimes and sometimes not get activated.
I didn't like that the environment sprites were facing the camera. I feel like it removes a bit of perceptive depth.
I think for any racing game, having hidden or hard to execute shortcuts is pretty fun and adds a higher skill ceiling.

Thank you for this fun entry to the game jam!

Not much to say except for very fun and polished game. I honestly don't see mode here that much, but this game delivers in what it's trying to do, so kudos!

The first time I played it I didn't know how to switch modes and made it to round 18, where my Laptop had about 2 fps. Afterwards I figured out how to actually play the game, but it wasn't as successful as leveling movement speed and walking around in a big circle. I like the idea of making your little army and defend yourself against an ever increasing enemy, but I think this fell slightly flat in achieving that player fantasy (at least for me). I think if you had more days to work on this (and get some deserved sleep) this could've been a really cool rendition of a Vampire Survivors esque game.

As it is now, it's still a fun and cute game with a musical bop but I think it could be really great if you had more time to work on it!

Although the game was pretty fun I have to say, that as someone who has not played many bullet hells it was too challenging. I did finish the game, although only when I realized at the boss that looks nothing like a skeleton covered in spaghetti tomato, that you get more health when dying. I left my laptop for a solid 20 minutes and came back with I think 28 HP. The other fights were quite enjoyable, I felt like the lady that does not look like a skeleton with spaghetti tomato does have too much spam of random projectiles. Since I played on Keyboard it was pretty hard to make exact movements.

I think all in all this is pretty fun, although quite challenging from the start!

The game is really great! It is fun to play and the details add a lot. I like the level up mechanics, that make fights that seem impossible just barely beatable. I think the theme could've been more represented here, but the end result is a really fun and silly game!

The game is very fun to play, although I must admit that I didn't quite finish it, because I couldn't figure out level 20...
I think this game nails what puzzle/action games are!
On the technical side I had some complains about the camera movement not being fluid and I think that you could increase the over the top nature of monkey mode a bit. For example instead of (what looks like) the default particles, there are rocks flying around (or the enemies flying away instead of disappearing) and maybe a bit of screen shake to bring home the strength of monkey mode!
All in all very fun (until the moment that it feels impossible) and the monkey mode music slaps!

The game is a nice metroidvania, although I feel like some of the powerups felt obsolete (mainly because you can push any block with big mode and destroy all the brown ones).
I could not finish the game without the bigmode infinite jumping, because even in small mode I could not reach the platform that leads you to rocket mode (I also couldn't figure out a different way of getting up there or through the spike pit). Also very often when I was trying to crush enemies with big mode I would get hurt pretty often, which made me want to avoid enemies all together with small mode. I like that each powerup has an immediate use for them when you obtain them. As others pointed out, the lack of music and soundeffects does take a bit away from the experience. I think all together you made a good game and I think with a bit more development time you would make it a great one!

Seems like a fun game to me, but after around 20 short quite short attempts I couldn't figure out how to get below 40 seconds. I held the buttons at first (without realizing that spamming is a lot better) and could not go below 45. I'm no good at spamming buttons on my keyboard so unfortunately I will pass on trying to beat this probably very fun game :(. On a more positive note, I like the music, pixelated (DS esque) art style and I think the game's aspects work really well with one another!

One thing I would like to add something. This was my first time getting an emulator running and I almost gave up playing the game because I didn’t understand how to do it. I think adding a step by step way of getting your game running (for inexperienced people like me) would be a great way to not scare off anyone who is trying to give this great game a shot!
