I got softlocked on day 3 after a droplet wasn't able to hit anything because there wasn't anything in its path. Very sad because I was having fun. Congrats on winning the gamejam!

The objective is to go for an highscore, the game over screen appear when the car finishes the fuel or gets destroyed.
I understand now thanks to the various feedbacks we got that the game was really hard and very unforgiving towards the player, future games will be easier to understand and more forgiving.
Thanks for the feedback!
That wasn't supposed to happen, the only explanation I can give you is that the web build got too silly with your browser and broke the camera for some reason.
I have no idea why the web version is different for everyone and gives a lot of bugs, but if you are still interested in trying the game out you could use the downloadable version, that one should be bug free and it only weights ~60mb.
Hopefully that bug on the web version doesn't ruin your vision of our game, thanks for the detailed description and your patience.
I'm in love with the graphics.
Very well-made game, it flows like butter and every piece of it connects well, lore is nice to see on gameJam games, and I really liked how having each stat low would give a different effect (low sleep = reverse walk, low food = slower walk...)
Even tho after I got said the word "storm" inside one of the calls and I clicked the button I lost.
Did I miss something?
I finished the game, oh boy it took a while.
The pacing is a little too slow, you should make some materials faster to collect based on how much you need, for example, the meat is a super easy ingredient to farm, but you only need around 200 to upgrade everything.
Here are some bugs / probably not intended features I found:
- The wood icon in the top left has some black pixel coming out of it for no apparent reason
- You can hit animals from very far if you are hitting something else (tree/rock) in the meanwhile
- Wolves cannot be killed
Even if there are some details that are not very polished, for being your first game, you guys did insanely good! I hope to see more improved games from y'all in the future.
The game looked so cool, but for some reason the cursor acted like it was being held all the time and didn't allow me to drag the camera to see my base.
I managed to place a couple towers and I loved the free building grid with upgrades on towers, looked very fun.
Please fix the camera bug because it is gamebreaking and I wanted to play this
This is a masterpiece, probably the most fun and unhinged game on this jam.
The randomness is what makes it good, I can drink, smoke and piss at the same time while cooking pizzas and I have to drive into a war zone to deliver some pizzas, hilarious.
The calm before the storm was perfect.
The only thing that I didn't like was the movement of the car, it didn't feel responsive and it felt wonky.
Other than that 5/5 this is incredible.
The graphics are gorgeous, they are incredible for something made in 7 days.
Would have loved some kind of challenge or new things to do other than get scraps and upgrade tho.
Also, I don't know if I'm the problem, but progression is very slow, it takes a lot of runs to a considerable amount of upgrades.
Other than that the interpretation of the theme is very original, well done.
The gas station is on the bottom right of the map, and to refuel you need the amount of money based on how much fuel you wanted. If you click 10%, it's going to fill 10% of the max of your fuel tank, and make you pay $13. The refill button, gives you the max fuel you can get at that moment.
This is the map if you had troubles finding the gas station. (I highlighted it for you)
Managed to finish the game at very low hp, nice approach to the tower defense for the jam.
Just 1 tip, keep the artstyle of the sprites constant, your floor tilemap doesn't have any borders, the player and the enemies have hard black border, and the cardboard boxes have faded colored border.
Very nice game tho!
I'm pretty sure that sticking to the theme is important, mostly because if you ignore the theme, it would just be a competition on who makes the best game.
The theme gives limitations on what the game can be about.
So I think that if you want to try and score high you could simply make a game without time, but I'm pretty sure that you will not win nor get high in the rankings if you don't follow the theme someway.
Interesting approach to the theme, and doing a PICO8 game is surely a brave move.
The graphics are very well-made, and I like the presentation of the game, from the menu to the win screen.
The only "mistake" I've seen is the timer before the next crime, because it says "*time* seconds till next crime" but the time is not in second for some reason.
Probably one of the most polished games on this gamejam.
I'm going to say this in the most gentle way possible, but this looks very unfinished.
There are only 3 levels, making the total gameplay of the game of 2 minutes at max, the characters are extremely generic and there is absolutely no in game tutorial.
I hope to see an update to this game because at the moment it feels like there is a lot of missing pieces.
Nice take on the theme, but I think that the ball moves way too slow.
It takes ages to get to a nice speed, and after I invert all the momentum gets lost.
On the other hand, the levels have a nice gameplay and I really loved how even the time gets inverted in the bottom half of the screen.
Also, the effect on the main menu is a very nice detail.
