The Arria-formula Meetings Dashboard is elaborated by the Security Council Affairs Division as an interactive research tool and information resource. It provides an overview of all Arria-formula meetings organized by the members of the Security Council as a "flexible and informal forum for enhancing their deliberations" as described in the note by the President of the Security Council (S/2017/507). The Arria-formula meeting owes its name to Ambassador Diego Arria of Venezuela who initiated the practice in 1992. The full list of Arria-formula meetings is also available here (updated on a monthly basis).

Subjects of Arria-formula meetings have been derived from the titles and concept notes of meetings as formulated and published by their organizers or through publicly available sources, including web and other recordings. Subjects of Arria-formula meetings have been categorized into a limited number of topics on the basis of an analysis of keywords and themes. Organizers refer to Council members, Member States and other entities involved in organizing, sponsoring or hosting the meetings as described in the relevant concept notes or through other publicly available sources.
