Adding a cutscene might be a bit hard for me but I'll try my best. :) The lightning interval feedback is quite appreciated, and I'll take a look at it once I get a chance from the college! 

You should definitely try to update your game as well! It had quite the potential, and if you don't feel burnt out as much as I did I think you can make it even more amazing than what it was. 

This means a lot to me, so thank you! 

P.S: There is a statue top-right of your farm. You can interact with it to make progress (and make the boxes go away!)

Hello! The game unfortunately came out half-baked due to time limit. But I will (hopefully) address the issues you talked about in an after-jam patch. Thank you for your feedback!

I usually try to say at least something "bad" since I want to be helpful to the dev, but it's really hard with these kinds of games. The scope is small (as it should be), but the general feel of the experience is quite polished! The sprite animations are fluid and the atmosphere is really nice. It's an overall solid entry.

Hey! My first plan was to make the water in the buckets "enchanted" but I couldn't add the shader on time.  I will hopefully address that and make crop growth more visual in an after-jam patch. Thank you for your feedback!

Quite unique and fun experience. It brings me back to my childhood point & click games. It's a bit hard to understand at first though, but I have no complaints other than that.

This is quite polished! I like how it looks and overall how it plays, even though the gameplay is simple. The way you implemented the theme is smart, and I can't say I have any negative things to say about this. It's an overall good experience.

Though the sound effects for the resources are maybe broken? My right earbud makes a weird sound whenever I collect stuff. I tested it in some other music and games to see if the headphones were broken but no, it only happens when I collect stuff. A minor problem, mind you. But thought that I should let you know.

Thank you! Lightning is kinda buggy right now. There seems to be an error with the way how I handled the scripts. I think I fixed it completely, but I can't update the game files right now so it should wait for an after-jam patch.

Making everything from scratch is no easy feat! This is a cute little game, my only complaint would be the "lane changing" part. It feels clunky and I think would be better if we could move a bit faster to or from the ship.

Cute little game! Buying extra time and lives with your own score is an interesting idea. Makes sense for a risk-reward scenario. Maybe make the coin spawn in different places? It was only spawning in a certain location when I was playing it. Maybe also changing the backgrounds (or even platforms) over time would make it feel fresh?

These are just suggestions though. Overall, good entry.

Oh yeah, that's on me, haha :D I forgot to disable it's interactable state. Better yet, it's not just a visual thing. you can fill it with your mouse and just finish the game almost instantly.

That's a good idea! I tried to cut many things to make this game's submission on time, having more visual clarity would definitely improve the experience.

Hey!

The shooting has this satisfying weight to it, so does the roundhouse kicks! The rate of fire doesn't seem to be affected by the rate of clicks, which I appreciate. Usually shooter games in their prototype phase have that problem.
The systems overall interact well with each other. Normally I like to play games defense-focused, but the glass cannon perk caught my eye and I should say I really like the way it combos with some stun upgrades.

Tiiiiiiny little problem, when the player dies, the death animation seems to repeat after every zombie attack. Maybe it only happened to me? I don't know.

Quite a polished game overall. Kudos!

Thank you, and yes, I'm currently working on an after-jam patch and hopefully I'll be able to fix the problems you talked about before starting a new project. If I find time to do so, I could even add some extra content, but not doing any promises about that :D
(little note, somebody found out that you can interact with the harvest meter with your mouse. You can fill it easily and pray to the statue to see a little animation! :D)

I escaped the grind! (Hopefully I'll never go in it real life)

This is a fun little game! It's simple and is cute looking. Feeling a little mischievous, I tried to break the windows and escape immediately, which didn't work obviously. 
Maybe not related but, I really like the item shaders you've made! I recently followed a youtube tutorial to make my own outline shader, used it in my previous jam (this is my second one) but it's not as good looking as yours. Any tips?

Yup, that's a bug unfortunately. Thanks a lot for your feedback. I'll see if I can add some scaling as you suggested, sounds like a great idea. Since I already made the growth system, it makes sense to add onto it instead of changing it. Thanks a lot for your feedback!

Creating everything from scratch is pretty tough, I commend you for that. The gameplay is fun, the night is a bit fast, and it seems like seperating the group while constantly repairing the barricades can almost guarantee your survival. 

I like the visuals, they have a certain charm to them. Also, this is more like a personal problem of mine, but whenever I see "horror" on the game tags, I'm very hesitant to try it out (I'm VERY easy to scare :D). This one is thematically horror though, and I really enjoyed it.

I LOVED the UI, the general look and feel of this game. With a bit more polish, bugfixes and extra content I think this can easily be a full game on its own. And you people made everything from scratch?! I can't believe it...

Hopefully I'll be as good as you as a developer someday. Kudos!

This is a unique and challenging game. Your take on the theme is also unique as well, making this the -I think- most innovative game on this jam. The gameplay itself makes me feel like I have two braincells, which is twice the amount I normally have!

Seriously though, almost every part of this is really well done. The exception, of course is the tutorial. Which I've also had to skip making. Who wastes (!) time on the tutorial when you can polish your game, right? :D My only real problem would be of course, the white particles. It took me so long to figure them out. Turns out: you just have to be precise while following them! And oh man, successfully completing one feels amazing. 

Easily one of my favourites. Kudos!

This is pretty good. I've recently made a turret defense prototype, so this one was quite interesting to play. 
I was planning to abuse the resource gathering system by upgrading the mines early, but the enemies rarely give you time to breathe and I couldn't smart my way out of them haha. 

Nicel little entry. Making  (almost) everything from scratch is no easy feat. Kudos!

Hello!

Due to time constraints and poor planning, I had to cut many essential parts of this game. The crops only have 2 stages. Freshly sown and grown up.  Since I couldn't add proper UI and tooltips, I tried to give instructions on the game's description, which is not a good idea. I will try to fix them after the jam!

People already commented on the slippery controls, but I think for a jam entry it added more enjoyment to it. I also liked the building mechanics.

Overall, this is like a challenge game that you play to see if you can beat it. Well done!

Exactly, creating the base game took more than I expected, so I had to cut some parts. I will hopefully patch them after the jam.

This is too polished, it feels like a demo of an upcoming game more than an entry of a jam. The audio management is great, visuals have their charm and gameplay is fast. Without the staff of torment though, it's hard to completely get rid of the enemies, so I often resorted to dodging till I got the item. Of course it has some bugs, but they were already mentioned, so I won't bother you with those. 

Overall, this is one of my favourites from this jam! Kudos!
