TBA continuation

Hey there! You did say to move the conversation somewhere else...

Advice for TBA, Phase III:

1. Some small categories can be merged with others. You can find more information on how to on the phase page.
2. Some can be fixed by going to enwiki, looking at the same category, and seeing which pages they have on that category that ours doesn't include. Then try to find those pages here and add them to the category.
3. While Ferien said deleting categories is a last resort, he later said that there are many that do need to be deleted and will never be able to have three. You can find those and tag them for QD.
4. As Ferien also said, try to take pages from parent or child categories.
5. If you are up for it, try to also create pages that would go into the small category to populate it.

Tagging pages

We don't really need too many tags in article. Stub means the article is just the start and lacks content, more tags on top of that makes article look ugly. Hi, Asteralee. Thanks for the vandalism report on the IP user. When making reports on a user who has been making the same bad edit on different pages, it helps to say that. When I started looking at this IP's changes, at first I just saw that they added some tables to the articles. It took a little more looking to see that the tables were all the same and weren't related to the articles. If you could mention things like that when you do VIP reports, that would help the admins.

One other thing: I noticed that you left 5 warnings on the user's page. Thanks for leaving the warnings -- sometimes people don't do that and we have to evaluate whether to block anyway. I do want to point out, though, that the level-5 warnings are not really just the next level after level 4. Level 5 is an "only" warning, meant to be used when the problem is so bad that you're only going to give one warning. This could be for things like personal attacks or legal threats. Once you've given the full set of level 1 through 4 warnings, like you did, the level 5 warning isn't needed.

bay horse

Hi, Asteralee. I saw your RfD for Bay (horse), where you said it had been moved to Simple (English) Wiktionary. This meaning of the term "bay" should have just been added to the definition of wikt:bay instead. In Wikipedia, it needs the disambiguating word "horse" to show which meaning of "bay" is meant. In Wiktionary, the entry for a word can have multiple meanings, like it this one has in the regular English Wiktionary, so different entries aren't needed. The word "bay" in this sense is just a color. You wouldn't have separate entries for "brown horse," "white horse," etc., so a separate entry for "bay horse" isn't needed, either. Please add the meaning to wikt:bay and have "Bay horse" deleted from Wiktionary.

By the way, the title should be all in lower case on Wiktionary, because it doesn't have any proper nouns. Wiktionary doesn't have the same requirement as Wikipedia of having everything start with an upper case letter. In Wiktionary, the entries are capitalized the way they would be in a print dictionary.

Film noir

Hi! I appreciate your concern for simplicity, but film noir is a term from French that was borrowed into English. We can't change the wording for a style when it's not really an English term to begin with. Quick deletions

Hi, Asteralee. I saw your QD request for Almargih State. The reason you gave was A4, the option that says the article doesn't show notability. That option applies only to certain types of things: people, groups, companies, products, services and websites. This article says that the subject is a place, so the option wouldn't apply. (In fact, geographical places are always considered notable.) However, as far as I can tell, Afghanistan doesn't have states, so I'm going to delete the page as a hoax.

It would be worth getting familiar with the exact descriptions for the QD options. That information is at Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Quick_deletion. Olympic equestrians

Thank you so much for starting the subcategories of Category:Olympic equestrians 🤩🤩 Be careful not to accidentally de-populate the nationality parent categories (like I accidentally did to Category:2018 disestablishments in India when I put everything inside the subcategory without noticing), because many times all the pages in the parent category are about Olympians and it will increase the underpopulated cats backlog. Also for the Olympics we use the country, not the nationality, for example Category:Olympic equestrians for Italy instead of Category:Italian Olympic equestrians. Maybe an admin can move them without leaving redirect (you'll always be the creator, no worries, the page history won't change ☺️).

No worries, it's not urgent, you can do it whenever you want ✌🏻 In alternative, you can move them yourself, but then you'll have to turn the redirects into category-redirects. If you choose this route, then you (or anybody) will move the pages from the category-redirect to the new title manually or with Cat-a-lot. If you find it boring, I can do it for you (I like it), but maybe you like it too and you want to do it yourself. Your choice! I think the user who created the page has the right to request for it to not be deleted on the talk page. That's what the {{QD}} template says. So could you restore their comments back to the page? The first few edits were nonsensical and the most recent was a letter saying that they want the article to be kept but without any reason. Surnames

Hello! For people without a stage name we almost always use the surnames, especially when it comes to women (unless you are talking about people with the same surname like siblings). So for example instead of saying "Adrienne", you'll say "Lyle" ☺️ There is an essay about this somewhere on enwiki, but it talks about a lot of other stuff that doesn't apply to you at all (because you used the first names in 1000% good faith). I am telling you so you know why I keep changing the names.
