Updating DYK

Hi TDKR, just so you know, there is now a bot that can be used for updating DYK, FehuBot. You can activate it when appropriate by incrementing the 0 in User:FehuBot/DYKRun to 1. It will then follow all the steps, then change the number in that back to 0 so it is ready to be updated again later. Hope this helps. Thanks! --Ferien (talk) 18:36, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! It's not an easy process and often takes a few weeks/months to work on before nominating it officially for GA. It's encouraged that it's a group effort rather than an individual effort, so edits/feedback from other users is very valuable.

Personally, it's important that a potential GA nominee has no red links, is properly sourced with reliable sources, no dead links, has a good amount of images about the subject (if possible), simplified to the max (this can be a bit tricky and this is where other user feedback is valuable) and is a subject that can easily be researched (this means the subject would have a large amount of sources available/sources would be easy to find).
