Adding a new block
- As you add content to your pages and posts, you'll notice blocks. Blocks are the components for adding content within the block editor. There are dozens of types of blocks, and new ones are being added all of the time. They're literally the building blocks for adding page and post content. You can add as many blocks as you want to a single page or a post in WordPress to build out a unique and complex layout, or you can just add one block if that's all you need. And you can add them in one of a few ways. In this chapter, we're going to build a contact page together using blocks. So I'll begin by creating a new page, like we practiced before, and I'll title it Contact. On your screen, find the blue plus icon at the top left. When chosen, you'll be met with a whole list of blocks organized by content type, text, media, design, and more. Find the one that matches the content area that you want. You can add text, tables…
