Welcome to the Half-Life Advanced Effects (HLAE) manual.
Each hook listed here is used to inject HLAE into a specific game engine, and they are all included with the latest version of HLAE. Visit the respective hook pages for more information about supported games, commands and features.
This manual is work in progress, so you might want to check back from time to time.
AfxHookGoldSrc is HLAE's traditional hook for the GoldSrc engine (includes Half-Life 1 / Counter-Strike 1.6 / Team Fortress Classic / any other Half-Life 1 modifications).
AfxHookSource is a hook mainly for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and some other Source engine games.
AfxHookSource2 is a tiny hook for Counter-Strike 2. It doesn't have many features and we are not sure yet if we will pursue it.
