Why does this game look so good for a nokia game!

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks! I was worried about the art as I left it a little last-minute but thankfully the Nokia lends itself well to minimalism haha

Physics-based games are always finnicky and require special attention to keep fun. Things like: the starting elevator being elevated one pixel and having to jump to get back in; the frozen person sometimes toppling over and sometimes getting back up depending on very subtle differences; the ceiling being one pixel too high for you to pass through and having to restart. Don't get me wrong, it's very fun when it works – but your job as a developer is to try to make it work as often as possible.

I also felt that the whole game was a bit too fast, all the animations and physics. But I guess that's just personal taste. And the jittery camera, which I'm sure you're aware of and just couldn't figure out how to fix it in time.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Love this! Fun concept and setting, good bit of light humour and some great puzzles. I think the unpredictability of the physics system actually helped me to get into the role of hapless intern. When I accidentally got the freezer caught on a platform and managed to generate enough force to launch it off screen at 100mph, the first thought that popped into my head was "uh oh, the boss isn't gonna be happy about this". Great little game, well done!

Developer

Thanks for the kind post! Glad to hear you enjoyed the humour and the puzzles -- I was hoping both of those things would land well. And yes, you gotta harness the unpredictability!

Really fun physics game. Very impressed!

Developer

Thank you!

Great game! The physics are a little janky, but it actually contributes for the fun, causing some pretty amusing situations. The idea is very original and it's quite hilarious. Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I was trying to strike that balance with the physics, where it was a little unpredictable and would either help or at least make you laugh haha

Damn GOOD game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much!

This was fun to play, amazing what you pulled off here. Super inspiring, I'll definitely need to make my next game progression level based

Developer

Hey thanks! Yeah this was my first attempt at making levels with progressing difficulty like this, I think it helps educate the players how the game works!

Great game, I loved that the physics sometimes get in the way and sometimes it helps you out :) Also, loved the puns. I could only take her to the 10th floor, she's still plugged in please take her from there, thanks!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I agree, it's a double-edged sword! And sure thing, I'll send someone to rescue her haha

Submitted(+1)

👏 congrats: the concept is great. I think the game might be more progressive. I get hard time on the first floor while it was easy just after.

Developer

Thank you! That's good feedback on the difficulty progression -- hard to get right!

Submitted(+1)

I love this concept, the music and presentation! Its a little bit let down by the janky physics that bug out quite often, but otherwise love it!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Lesson learned for next time!

This is an awesome puzzle/physics/platform game. I like your jokes as well ;)

Developer

Thank you! I'm happy to hear they landed well haha

Submitted(+1)

Really "cool" game :D Loved what you did with the temperature mechanic!

The physics of being able to push her but also pull her via the cord is really neat!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! Originally I had the chord pop out of your hands if the fridge got too far away, but found that it was much more fun to be able to manipulate the fridge by yanking on the cord haha

Submitted(+1)

I appreciate that you can press E and quick display the messages haha. Great game!

Developer

Thank you! I know that some people (myself included) just want to get right to the action haha

Submitted(+1)

Very fun and absolutely innovative concept! Hats off for that amazing humour too I found it pretty good hahahah. I liked the physics but sometimes the screen had a bit too much shake for me. All in all amazing submission, congrats!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! Glad we share similar humour haha that would have been rough otherwise

LOOOVE the concept, it’s really original and this could be fleshed out into an awesome game at higher resolution. I see people mentioning the physics but I also experienced a hyperactive jump that doesn’t seem to be present in the screenshots? Dunno if it was just on my machine but it made plugging in/getting over obstacles very difficult!

Developer

Thank you! Means a lot to hear that this could be a promising game outside of the jam!

This quite the unique platformer, reminds me of the days when I was playing multiplayer portal 2, by having one person that does work while the other is dead weight XD. The physics between the cable and body is the only problem.

Developer

Thanks! Haha yeah you're totally right!

Submitted(+1)

What an innovative puzzle platformer, physics could have been better from time to time though.

This would make for a great fully fleshed out game :)

Developer

Hey thanks! That's great to hear!

Submitted(+1)

I couldn't get past level 12 because of the jank, but the idea was very cool

Developer

Dang! Perhaps I'll need to do some tweaking after the jam!

Submitted

Or maybe I just didn't figure out the intended way, lol

Submitted(+1)

Really great game! The presentation is fantastic and the premise is very creative. I also enjoy the puzzle design but the physics made them a little more difficult than they had to be. I agree with many of the other commenters that it's a tad wonky.

Developer

Thank you! Great feedback for next time!

Submitted(+1)

The physics of it could go a little wonky, but all in all it's well done and humorous

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Haha yeah definitely a little wonky
