Edit a Classic campaign

After you’ve created a Classic campaign, you can edit the campaign’s settings such as the audience, placement, or ads in the campaign. You can’t change the objective or ad format after a campaign has been launched.

Who can use this feature?

You need campaign manager access or higher to edit campaigns.

To edit campaign details:
  1. Sign in to Campaign Manager.

  2. If you need to switch accounts, click the account name in the upper-left corner of the page and select the correct account name from the dropdown. 

  3. Select the correct campaign group on the Campaign groups tab.

  4. On the Campaigns tab, move your cursor over the campaign name and click Edit.

  5. Scroll to the section in the campaign set-up that you want to update and make changes:

    • Objective - Can’t be changed after the campaign has launched. 
    • Audience - Edit audience attributes or select the checkbox to enable or disable audience expansion. 
    • Ad format - Can’t be changed after the campaign has launched.  
    • Placements - Select the checkbox to enable or disable the LinkedIn Audience Network. 
    • Budget and schedule - Edit available fields depending on the type of budget used: 
      • Campaign level budget and schedule - Edit the budget, schedule, bidding strategy, or bid amount (if applicable).  
      • Dynamic Group Budget - Edit the budget, schedule, or bidding strategy by editing the campaign group. If your campaign group uses a cost cap or manual bidding strategy, you can edit the bid amount at the campaign level.  
      • Frequency cap – Edit the frequency cap for brand awareness campaigns for LinkedIn Connected TV (CTV).
    • Conversion tracking (optional) - Add or remove conversions for your campaign.  
  6. Click Next.
  7. Add, edit, or remove ads from your campaign on the Ads in this campaign page.

    • You can add new ads to the campaign by clicking Create new ad. If you selected a Sponsored Content ad format for the campaign, you can also add new ads by clicking Browse existing content.
    • When using a Sponsored Content ad format, you can remove an ad from your campaign if the campaign has not yet been launched. To remove an ad, click the More icon to the right of the ad status. Other ad format types cannot be removed from a campaign.
    • To edit the creative on your existing single image or video ad, access the media library by clicking Upload or Select.
  8. Click Next.
