- Congratulations for completing this course. It demonstrates your commitment to investing in yourself and as you learned, effective leadership starts with you. I know that we've covered a lot in this course but the truth is, there's a lot more to learn so don't stop here. I didn't become a great leader overnight. Richard and Steve didn't either. We had to invest in ourselves and evolve into great leaders. For me, it took years of taking courses like this one and working with mentors and coaches, reading books and articles, and attending conferences. I also studied other great leaders, both in my organization and from afar, and I learned what they did well, and guess what?
