- [Instructor] Camera Raw can convert an image to black and white, add color toning and other creative vintage effects, all with a few simple slider adjustments. I'll select this image and use Command + R on Mac, Control + R on Windows to open it in Camera Raw. Now, in order to convert this to gray scale, I can click on the black and white option. That's going to set the profile to the default Adobe monochrome, but there are additional profiles that we can choose from, if we click on the profile browser and then just navigate down to the black and white profiles. So, some of these profiles will add contrast, some of them change the way that different color ranges are shifted into a gray scale value and others limit the dynamic range by lifting the blacks and decreasing the highlights.
