- [Instructor] Most people think that layer styles are just for adding simple drop shadows, but they're actually much more powerful than that. We're going to take a moment to explore some of the additional layer effect options that are available by adding them to this illustration to completely change its appearance. Now, before we start, I have added a pattern overlay that is not loaded by default. You can do this on the patterns panel, use the flyout menu and choose legacy patterns and more, as soon as you select that, you will see the legacy patterns and more group and inside of there we're going to be using the legacy patterns. All right, once those are loaded, let's target the creatures layer group in the layers panel, this contains those three creatures at the top of the image. We're going to start by adding a pattern overlay, and in the pattern area, you can use the little disclosure triangle there to navigate…
