- It's really easy to create animated gift files in Photoshop. For this series of images, I set the camera on a tripod and photograph straight down on the bowl of plums. I then took a photograph and move the plums a little bit, took another photograph and continue doing that until the plums hopped out of the bowl and appeared to move across the surface all by themselves. Well, this is actually an example of stop motion, the same technique can be used with ad banners or whatever it is you want to animate. So in order to select all of these images, I'll hold down the shift key and select the last one. And then in order to open them into a single document in Photoshop, also like tools and then Photoshop, and then load files into Photoshop layers, Photoshop will open up a single document and we can see as each one of these layers is added to the layers panel.
