- [Narrator] Pattern fill layers are an excellent way to fill areas in an image with a seamless tiled pattern. So in this example, we're going to create our pattern from these photos of these peppers. Then we're going to save it as a custom pattern and then fill the inside of a box cover with that pattern. So pattern previews work best when you're working with smart objects. So we can see in the layers panel, each one of these layers has been converted to a smart object. I have the move tool selected and I've also toggled on the auto select. That's going to help me quickly select the different peppers. So to visualize what this will look like as a tiled pattern, I'll use the view menu and then select pattern preview. You can see Photoshop's going to warn me to convert those layers to smart objects, but we've already done that. Now I'll use command + minus in order to zoom out, so I get a better look at the overall pattern.…
