- [Instructor] While creating straight-line paths just requires clicking with the mouse. Creating curved paths takes a little bit of practice because you need to click and drag. So I'm going to make sure that no paths are selected in the Paths panel. And then let's zoom in and reposition this so we're looking at the curved paths. Now, in order to help us draw these paths, I've included a few guides, so we'll choose the View menu and then Show, and then Guides. Now, if the pen tool isn't selected, you can tap the P key. And I'm going to click and drag on this first anchor point. Now I've set down an anchor point, but what I'm dragging right now are the direction lines. So I'll just drag up until I reach the guide. So this is going to start my path in an upwards direction. And then if I want to create this mountain, I can click again and now drag down. So, I'm not clicking and letting go of the mouse.
